Rhio Announces PROGRESS Wrestling To Have First-Ever All-Women’s Super Strong Style 16 in 2026

On Sunday, May 4th, PROGRESS Wrestling returned to London for it’s big show, “Super Strong Style 16, Day One.” The main event of the show saw Nina Samuels put her Progress Wrestling Women’s World Championship on the line against Rhio in a massive title vs. career match. Following Rhio’s victory in this match, she made a ground-breaking announcement.

Rhio took the microphone to cut a promo after she defeated Samuels. She spoke about how she doesn’t know how long that she, or anyone else in the back, has left in PROGRESS Wrestling, but they will all “work very hard to keep British wrestling on top.” She then announced that in 2026, PROGRESS Wrestling will hold its first-ever all-women Super Strong Style 16 in 2026.

This opens a whole new set of opportunities for some of the top women’s wrestlers in the British wrestling scene to come together for the Super Strong Style tournament next year. This marks the first time in PROGRESS Wrestling’s history that a Super Strong Style 16 tournament will feature ONLY women. This news is truly PROGRESS.
