At tonight’s Game Changer Wrestling “Take A Picture” event in Kansas City, Missouri, Miyu Yamashita was scheduled to team with Billie Starkz to take on YDNP (Alec Price and Jordan Oliver) for the GCW World Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, due to the Missouri Athletic Commission, the match never took place.
GCW tweeted that the Missouri Athletic Commision would not license Miyu Yamashita to wrestle due to her not having a social security number despite her having the proper documents and a valid work visa.
“Despite the fact that she has wrestled in Missouri multiple times, has all relevant & required documents and has a valid work visa, the Missouri Athletic Commision will not license Miyu Yamashita to wrestle today because she does not have a social security number.”
Yamashita last wrestled in Missouri at a Glory Pro event back in 2023. She took to social media to address the issues.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t wrestle today. I’m truly disappointed. I was really looking forward to the tag title match. Thank you to all the GCW fans who always support me.”
Billie Starkz went on the face Jonathan Gresham and Simon Gotch in action three way match, while Price and Oliver defended the GCW tag titles in a 3 way against The New Guys and The Premier. The replay of the event can be watched anytime on TrillerTV+.
