On Saturday, June 28th, Limitless Wrestling returned to Portland, ME for it’s event, “Beerly Legal ’25.” The event streamed on IWTV and the Limitless Wrestling YouTube channel.
The main event of the show saw Channing Thomas put the Limitless World Championship on the line against Gabby Forza.
We also saw Dezmond Cole go one-on-one with Anthony Greene, three 2025 Vacationland Cup Qualifier matches with Aaron Rourke facing off with Zak Patterson, Alec Price squaring off with Bear Bronson, Aiden Aggro doing battle with Milo Mirra, and so much more. Check out the full recap and review down below.
2025 Vacationland Cup Qualifier: Aaron Rourke def. Zak Patterson
The opening match for this stacked event saw Aaron Rourke meet Zak Patterson in a 2025 Vacationland Cup Qualifier match. If you’re looking to start a show off right, this is the perfect match to do just that. This match saw Aaron Rourke continue to prove why he’s one of the best around today on the independent wrestling scene and should be in every and any conversation as to who the GOAT is on the independent wrestling scene. As for Zak Patterson, he is one of the most underrated stars around today, and the damn-near perfect wrestler.
The match itself was as amazing as you’d thought it would be between these two competitors. Rourke was the clear-cut fan-favorite in this match, but by the conclusion, both of these men were getting cheers. Patterson came out of the cannon guns blazing in this match. He quickly gained the upper hand and took the fight to Rourke. Rourke took everything the Quebecer had to throw at him and then some. However, in the end, Rourke was able to reverse a big move of Patterson’s with a poisonrana and hit a split-legged moonsault for the three count. This was a fantastic match and one that set the tone for the rest of the show. After the match, Rourke gave Patterson a sign of respect and says he’s winning the 2025 Vacationland Cup.
2025 Vacationland Cup Qualifier: Alec Price def. Bear Bronson
From one 2025 Vacationland Cup Qualifier to another, this time we saw “The Prize City OG,” Alec Price, go one-on-one with the newly announced free agent, Bear Bronson. With Price and Bronson sharing the ring, we knew this was going to be a good match. Bronson has been wrestling with something to prove. This was very apparent when we saw him go up against Price. Bronson is making sure to show everyone he is indeed back and better than ever before. As for Price, one half of the GCW World Tag Team Champions with Jordan Oliver, he remains another one of the top guys on the independent wrestling scene today. This was a match between two fan-favorites, and that was made clear from the get-go.
The match itself between Price and Bronson lived up to the hype and then some. As soon as the match started, a “both these guys!” chant rang through Definitive Brewing. The two men brawled outside the ring during the match, with Bronson throwing Price at some fans in attendance, taking everyone out. This caused big “HOLY SH*T!” chants. Ultimately, Price lands a big “surprize” kick to the back of the head to punch his ticket to the 2025 Vacationland Cup. Both men threw everything at each other, including the kitchen sink, but Price was the one who would be victorious on this night. This was a great match with two great wrestlers. Highly recommend watching this one (and Rourke vs. Patterson) back.
2025 Vacationland Cup Qualifier: Aiden Aggro (w/ J-Heru) def. Milo Mirra
In the third and final 2025 Vacationland Cup Qualifying match of the night, we saw Aiden Aggro, accompanied by J-Heru, face off with “Pogo” Milo Mirra. However, this one had something extra added to it. Aggro challenged Mirra, and if Aggro wins, he will win the Bissell Brothers Battle Royale contract. This is a contract that gives the holder a Limitless World Championship shot. If Mirra won, Aggro and J-Heru would be banned from the 2025 Vacationland Cup.
Mirra continued to use the pogo stick, which the fans loved, jumping over Aggro, who was on the outside, and into the ring. J-Heru made his presence felt time and time again in this one. Ultimately, after a fun match, Aggro capitalized on Heru stealing Mirra’s pogo stick and hit him with a neckbreaker using the pogo stick and a shining wizard to win the match. This creates an interesting scenario with one of Channing Thomas’s stablemates, Aggro, holding a contract that allows him a World Championship shot. Can Thomas trust Aggro? We’ll see.
Grudge match: Dezmond Cole def. Anthony Greene
From one of Channing Thomas’s stablemates to another, Anthony Greene makes his way down to the ring for the next match. He is facing off with Dezmond Cole in a grudge match between two men who truly want to hurt each other. Greene turned his back on Limitless Wrestling and the fans when he sided with Channing Thomas’s new group. Cole is back and he’s looking to take Limitless Wrestling back for the fans, and for everyone who’s on his side. This has been one of the great rivalries in 2025 for Limitless Wrestling, and seems to only be getting hotter as we enter Vacationland Cup season.
Greene attacked Cole during introductions to quickly gain the upper hand. Both of these men threw everything at each other to put the other one away. Ultimately, Cole landed a Swanton bomb on Greene and pinned him to win his first singles match since returning from injury back on May 17th at “Warzone.” Cole picked up the big win heading into the 2025 Vacationland Cup as he tries to get his Limitless World Championship hopefully sooner rather than later.
Ace Romero & The Garlands (Scotty 2 Hotty & Keagan Garland) def. Jose Zamora & Swipe Right (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) (w/ Miss Susannah)
In the first match back from intermission, we saw a six-man tag which saw Ace Romero team up with The Garlands, Scotty 2 Hotty & Keagan Garland, to face off with Jose Zamora and Swipe Right. Ace Romero is one of the top baby faces in Limitless Wrestling today, and pairing him with the legendary Scotty 2 Hotty and Scotty’s son, Keagan Garland, was brilliant. Jose Zamora is one of the hottest up-and-comers in the northeast around today. He’s very fun to watch, and even more fun to hate, plus he has a very catchy theme song. So, it’s always a pleasure to see him. As for Swipe Right… we love Miss Susannah. All jokes aside, Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor work very well together, and they deserve everything that’s happening between the independent wrestling scene and WWE NXT.
The match itself was a solid six-man tag. There was a nice touch where Romero gave Zamora a stink face, which paid homage to Scotty’s former tag team partner, Rikishi. We also saw Scotty 2 Hotty and his son Keagan give a double worm to Swipe Right. Ultimately, the match ended when Romero hit a package piledriver on Zamora for the three-count. This was a fun little six-man tag. Hopefully, we see more of The Garlands in Limitless Wrestling.
Special Challenge: 23 Hazard def. Seabass Finn
In the night’s special challenge match, we saw 23 Hazard go one-on-one with Seabass Finn. Since making his return to Limitless Wrestling, we’ve seen a new side of 23 Hazard. Still as hated as ever, Hazard has greatly improved in the ring since I first saw him a couple of years back. Hazard knows how to get heat from the crowd like not many people can, with “Hazard Hater” signs all over the venue. Kudos to Hazard for how good he’s become in the ring. As fun as Hazard is to hate, you have to give the devil his due. As for Seabass Finn, it’s no secret how good he is. He’s one of the top young talents in the northeast independent wrestling scene and is prepared to take the scene by storm in 2026.
The match itself was a fun one with not many implications heading into the 2025 Vacationland Cup. Both men are already looking ahead to 2026 and hope to get to the top of the mountain in Limitless Wrestling then. Ultimately, the match ended when 23 Hazard countered a roll through from Seabass Finn with a roll through of his own, using the trunks, to get the win. This was a good singles match between two young guns in Limitless Wrestling today. 23 Hazard is officially back in the win column in Limitless Wrestling. Kudos to both men for this one.
Limitless World Championship: Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella) (c) def. Gabby Forza to retain the Limitless World Championship
In the show’s main event, we saw Channing Thomas, accompanied by Sidney Bakabella, put his Limitless World Championship on the line against Gabby Forza. This is a rivalry that has become very personal, with the latest incident being Thomas’ close-fisted punching of Forza in the face, which caused her to lose her front tooth. It’s safe to say, after that, that Forza was indeed out for some payback. Forza was the clear-cut fan-favorite in this match, wrestling for the first time ever for the Limitless World Championship. Unfortunately, for Forza, she had an uphill battle to climb from the get-go. Where Thomas goes, Bakabella, Aggro, J-Heru, and Anthony Greene are not far behind.
Forza looked fantastic in her first shot at the Limitless World Championship. At the end of the match, the referee got knocked out when Forza accidentally “spored” him in the corner. This allowed Thomas to land a piledriver, which had no effect on Forza. Gabby landed one of her own on Thomas and went for the jackhammer, but J-Heru, Aggro, and Greene made the save. Aggro accidentally superkicked Greene, and Bronson and Rourke made the save for Forza. Bakabella even tried to low-blow Forza, but made a big mistake by doing that, as it had no effect. Forza looked to have the match won with a jackhammer, but Thomas got his foot on the rope just in time. Through all of the chaos, Thomas was able to put on brass knuckles and knock out Forza to retain his Limitless World Championship. After the match, Cole saved Forza from a piledriver on the belt and sent the Limitless World Champion packing.
Overall, this was a very fun show. We are now very well underway in the 2025 Vacationland Cup season. If you’re going to go back and watch any of these matches, I highly recommend Rourke vs. Patterson and Price vs. Bronson. The whole show was good, but those two matches were head and shoulders above the rest on the card. Limitless Wrestling continues to hit it out of the park, and now’s the time to check it out with their biggest show of the year less than two months away.
