Blitzkrieg! Pro 6/28/2025 7th Annual Luau Recap & Review

Photo credit: @floodshot_

On Saturday, June 28th, Blitzkrieg! Pro returned to Enfield, CT for one of it’s biggest shows of the year, their “7th Annual Luau.” The event streamed live on IWTV.

The main event of the annual Luau show saw CPA put the Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship on the line against Krule.

We also saw Bryce Donovan go one-on-one with Dijak, Charles Mason square off with Priscilla Kelly, Andy Brown face off with Sammy Diaz, the annual “Fans Bring The Pool Toys” match and Mother of All Scrambles match, and so much more. Check out the full recap and review of this stacked show down below.

Alyssa Marino & “Hot Scoop” Skylar were on the call for this event. It’s worth noting that Marino and Skylar are absolutely fantastic together on the sticks. Sometimes, on the independent wrestling scene, it can be tough to find good commentators. However, these two women are among the best commentators on the independent wrestling scene today, if not the two best on the scene today. I highly recommend listening to their commentary and supporting them, as they’re both fantastic.

Andy Brown def. Sammy Diaz

The opening match of Blitzkrieg! Pro’s seventh annual Luau event saw Andy Brown go one-on-one with Sammy Diaz. This would be the catalyst of the events that would transpire for Diaz later in the night, but first things first, he had to go up against one of the most well-respected and one of the most talented guys in the northeast around today, Andy Brown. This was a damn-near perfect way to start off the night. Brown and Diaz made magic together and put on an excellent match which set the tone for the rest of the night.

The two men started the match with strikes right out of the gate in the center of the ring. The fans loved this match, especially when the two brawled into the crowd. Brown went for a big move on the apron, which Diaz was able to counter and send Brown to the floor, before hitting him with a massive tope suicida. Brown would try and fight back time and time again, but Diaz stopped him in his tracks multiple times. Finally, Brown was able to change the tide of the match when he super powerbombed Diaz from the top rope. Ultimately, in the end, Brown countered a sunset flip from Diaz and pinned him for the victory. This was an excellent opening match. Despite losing, Diaz was in line for one of the biggest nights of his career to come later in this show.

Mother of All Scrambles: Sammy Diaz def. 50 Cal, Ash Bennett, Wrench & Resolve (Erik Chacha & Jake Gray), Javi, Lady Killjoy, Mark Sterling Esq., Notorious Mimi, Ryan Mooney, Spike Nishimura, & Will Straus (w/ Kalvin Dumont)

In the second match of the night, we saw the annual Mother of All Scrambles match. This is a match that we see yearly at the Luau event, and has become a staple of the show. This year’s event looked to be no different as the field was rounded out by the likes of former WWE star Javi, AEW’s Mark Sterling Esq., Notorious Mimi, Ryan Mooney, Spike Nishimura, Lady Killjoy, and more. However, one name that made sure to enter the match was Sammy Diaz, as he attacked Jay Kharma during his entrance and stole his spot. Spike & 50 Cal started the match off together as more and more competitors entered the field over time.

Javi made his Blitzkrieg! Pro debut in this match. He looked excellent in one of his first matches since being released from the WWE. He has a very bright future in the world of professional wrestling. Continue to keep a lookout for the “Core Kid.” It was fun seeing everyone in this match shine, including Notorious Mimi, who made her return to Blitzkrieg in this match. This was the first time we saw Lady Killjoy in a match as a solo competitor, and she looked great. She hit a massive chokeslam on Mooney and a stunner on Mimi, which caused Mimi to get eliminated by Spike. Get on the Killjoy bandwagon now; she has a very bright future as a singles competitor, despite being seen in a managerial role for a while. The final four came down to Spike, Javi, Sterling, and Diaz. Ultimately, Diaz won the Mother of All Scrambles, last eliminating Spike with his finishing move, earning a Blitzkrieg! Pro Championship opportunity whenever he wants. This marked the second consecutive year Diaz won the Mother of All Scrambles.

Angelo Carter def. JGeorge

This was an impromptu match that started with the two men brawling in the crowd and working their way to the ring. Carter and JGeorge brawled around the ring before finally making it into the ring and a match starting, which Carter demanded. This is a rivalry that has become one of the most personal ones in all of Blitzkrieg! Pro history between the two former friends now turned bitter enemies.

Carter seemingly had the match won, but stopped the pinfall himself, and hit his finisher, shouting “WE ARE FINISHED!” and pinning JGeorge for the three-count. Both of these men are immensely talented. I highly recommend checking out each of them. It’s always a blast seeing Carter in action, and despite how brief this match may have been, it was a statement win for Carter. Carter is indeed here.

Priscilla Kelly def. Charles Mason

Up next, we saw one of the most anticipated matches of the night. The “Root of All Evil,” Charles Mason, went to battle with “Hell’s Favorite Harlot,” Priscilla Kelly, in a battle between good and evil… well, evil and evil.. Kelly was the clear-cut fan-favorite in this one, making her return to the independent wrestling scene since her WWE release about a month ago. This also marked Kelly’s debut in Blitzkrieg! Pro. This match had a big fight feel from the opening bell.

Mason continued to do an excellent job showcasing his sadistic side. Mason is a wrestler who doesn’t care what gender you are; it’s equal rights for him, which means equal fights. Kelly looked fantastic in her Blitzkrieg! Pro debut and the fans loved her performance, as did I. There was a cool spot in the match where Mason started sadistically crawling towards Kelly, who sat up and started sadistically crawling towards Mason, matching his scariness. Kelly and Mason was a match made in heaven, or hell, from its inception. Ultimately, after Mason thought he had the match won, referee Gina reversed the decision. This led to Kelly hitting a Tiger Driver on Mason for the three-count to win the match. This was a fantastic match. I think I speak for everyone when I say we want to see this match again, and hopefully see Kelly and Mason back at Blitzkrieg! Pro sooner than later.

Fans Bring The Pool Toys: Ancestral City Shooters (Joseph Alexander & Kwesi Asante) def. East Coast Bastard Crew (Leary & Logan Black)

Next up, we saw the infamous “Fans Bring The Pool Toys” match. This has become another annual match at the Luau event, with this year’s chapter being written by the Ancestral City Shooters (Joseph Alexander & Kwesi Asante) and the East Coast Bastard Crew (Leary & Logan Black). However, this did mark the first time in history that the “Fans Bring The Pool Toys” match was a tag team match. This match started quick and hot and didn’t slow down until the final bell. We saw everything from pool noodles to tubes, to hula hoops, to boogie boards used as a weapon in this match. We even saw a mold of a sand castle used as a weapon in this one. However, perhaps no weapon was more innovative than when Black put on a coconut bra with thumb tacks sticking out of it.

Ultimately, Kwesi hits a big pop-up spinebuster on Black, and the two members of the Ancestral City Shooters pinned Black to win the match. Joseph Alexander and Kwesi Asante each looked amazing in this match and should be in line for a future Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championship match. I know I’ve spoken about this in the past, but Leary really deserves a lot of credit here. He’s become a fantastic talent who helps to bring up the next generation, as does Logan Black, but on top of wrestling, Leary is one of the founders and bookers of Blitzkrieg! Pro. So, kudos to him for all the magic he makes inside the ring and out of the ring at Blitzkrieg! Pro.

Perry Von Vicious & Delta House (Dante Drago & Nick Robles) def. No More Heroes (Kirby Wackerman, Stephen Azure, & Steve Somerset)

In the first match back from intermission, we saw No More Heroes (Kirby Wackerman, Stephen Azure, & Steve Somerset) face off with Delta House (Dante Drago & Nick Robles) and a partner of their choosing. Delta House once again tried recruiting Perry Von Vicious in their entrance, but Perry denied, and the match started as a handicap match. Delta House started the match off well early and held their own against the three-man team of No More Heroes. However, thanks to a distraction from Kirby Wackerman, Robles lost all momentum.

This led to Perry Von Vicious finally coming out to make the save and entering the fray. He made the hot tag and took the fight to Azure and Somerset. Ultimately, Perry hit the Perry-Go-Round on Azure to win the match for him and Delta House. Delta House and Perry looked great together, and I hope we see more of that. The bigger story came after the match, however, when Dan The God Damn Candyman returned. He had a bit of a new look to him, though, as he looked like Dan The God Damn Can-Demon. He seemingly aligned with his old friend Kirby Wackerman and No More Heroes. I’m extremely invested in this story and the return of the Can-Demon. This was a great match and segment.

Bryce Donovan def. Dijak

As the show rolled along, we saw another first-time ever match-up between WWE ID prospect, Bryce Donovan, and former WWE star, Dijak. This was a very anticipated match, which saw two of the biggest and baddest men in Blitzkrieg! Pro go at it. Since it was announced, fans were chatting online about who would come out on top. These are two men who are both very big, very strong, and both possess some strange agility and athleticism for a man their size. Both men threw everything they had and more at each other to walk out of this match victorious.

@floodshot_

Donovan looked to be in a bad way as Dijak called for the end and landed his finishing move. However, Donovan kicked out and stood alive in this bout. Dijak was shocked at how much Donovan was able to take. Dijak landed some big forearm smashes on Donovan, who looked to be done. However, Donovan kept coming back for more. Ultimately, Donovan hit his big AA-type move on Donovan and pinned him for the three-count. This was an outstanding performance from both men, and a star-making performance for Donovan. This was very well my favorite match of the night, with a close second being Mason and Kelly.

Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championships: B3TJC (B3CCA & TJ Crawford) (c) def. Den of Desire (Blizzy Blake & Marco Narcisso) to retain the Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championships

Following the absolute war that Bryce Donovan and Dijak endured, we saw B3TJC put their Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championships on the line in an open challenge. B3CCA & TJ Crawford were originally supposed to defend against Miracle Generation, but sadly, plans changed, and we got a surprise tag team who answered the challenge. Following B3CCA’s impromptu concert, Blizzy Blake & Marco Narcisso, collectively known as the Den of Desire, introduced themselves to the Blitzkrieg! Pro faithful in this one.

There was really no doubt in anyone’s mind that B3TJC would retain their Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championships, but this match was very good. The Den of Desire looked great in this one. I’ve never seen the Den of Desire in action before, and this match made me a newfound fan of theirs. Ultimately, B3TJC did retain their titles when B3CCA and Crawford each locked in a submission hold and forced their respective counterparts to each tap out. This was a great match and great showing for all involved. The Blitzkrieg! Pro faithful serenaded Den of Desire with “PLEASE COME BACK!” chants.

Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship: Sammy Diaz def. CPA (c) & Krule to win the Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship

The main event of the show saw CPA put the Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship on the line against Krule. Ironically, one year ago, at the sixth annual Blitzkrieg! Pro Luau event, CPA would finally win the big one, and become the new Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship when he defeated TJ Crawford. Fast forward a year, and CPA was in the position Crawford was in last year; however, the winner might surprise you. Do you remember earlier in the article when I said Sammy Diaz’s night was only just beginning? Well, here’s where it ended. Despite CPA and Krule being the planned main event, halfway through the match Diaz cashed in his contract that he won earlier in the night in the Mother of All Scrambles.

@floodshot_

Before Diaz entered the fray, CPA and Krule were putting on an incredible main event. This was your typical “David vs. Goliath” story, but this may have been CPA’s best match to date. Krule continued to amaze like only he can. He’s one of the most dominant forces that the independent wrestling scene has ever seen. After CPA landed a numbers cruncher from the top rope on Krule through a door set up in the ring, Sammy Diaz officially entered the match. Ultimately, after CPA speared Krule through a door, Diaz captured his first-ever Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship when he hit CPA with his finishing move. This is such a well-deserved title win. Diaz, who started his night off with a loss, won the Mother of All Scrambles and cashed in and won the Bedlam Championship all in one night. Diaz proves once again why he is indeed “Top Five, Dead or Alive.” We are now in the era of Sammy Diaz. Congrats, Sammy!

@floodshot_

Overall, this was another great Luau event, courtesy of Blitzkrieg! Pro. Each Blitzkrieg! Pro event continues to be better than the last, and their shows truly can’t be missed. My match of the night was Bryce Donovan vs. Dijak, with Priscilla Kelly vs. Charles Mason being a close second. However, seeing Diaz finally win the Bedlam Championship may have been my top moment of the night. There’s nothing better than supporting a great promotion run by even greater people. Leary and Skylar have put together one of my favorite promotions on the entire independent wrestling scene today. Please continue to support Blitzkrieg! Pro and all the incredible talents that come through its doors. Don’t miss Blitzkrieg! Pro’s next event is on August 10th, and stay tuned to PWPonderings for more information about the event as it becomes available.
