Belle 2 Bell “Liberty Belles 2025” Recap and Review

The second installment of Liberty Belles took place at The World Famous Monster Factory on July 19. There had been a few lineup changes heading into the event due to some injuries, but the final card still had some of the best female wrestlers in the region and one of the best from Australia.

The ring announcer is Rosaria Elsa. Savanna Kahne and Krissy Rivera are on commentary.

Leah Night vs. Kate Thorn

This is one of the matches I was looking forward to the most, as Leah Night has been really impressive recently at B2B and elsewhere, while Kate is a huge fan favorite that has a very unique offense due to her dance background. Leah uses her power, but Kate counters with her athleticism. Night is insulting Kate and the fans. Thorn hits a really nice frog splash and they both get near falls. Kate hits a cutter for the win. Great opening match from two women who have really found their place in B2B.

Young Justice (Journey Burke and Becca Wylie) vs. Cotton Candy Contrast (Tiffany Avatar and Dolli Darko)

I don’t think either of these pairs are regular teams, but Young Justice does have matching gear. Dollo Darko looked the most impressive in this match, but Becca Wylie picked up the win for Young Justice with a Becca to Belly.

Jade Onyx vs. Adrianna Mosely

This is my first time seeing Jade Onyx and she has quite a big test ahead of her in her B2B debut. Jade is impressive using her speed early on to avoid Adrianna. Mosely catches Jade with a headbutt and is able to slow down the match. Jade’s best option is to keep moving, because anytime Mosely can slow the match down, she brings the power. Jade did a great job of flying around the ring and had the fans behind her, but all it took was Adrianna catching her and hitting her with a spinebuster to pin her for the 3 count.

Cosmic vs. Lena Kross

Kross is star from Australia who calls herself the “tallest bitch on the indies”. Her previous match at B2B against Notorious Mimi is considered one of the best matches in company history.

Cosmic tries to outsmart the larger opponent and attack her from behind, but that advantage did not last long. Cosmic was trained by Masha Slamovich, so she is very tough and her in ring skills have been constantly improving. She is able to hit a suplex on Kross, but that just seems to fire Kross up as she pops right up and hits a suplex of her own. They exchange strikes and while Cosmic has some hard strikes, Kross is one person that you do not want to exchange with. Kross pulls out the victory with a knee strike followed by a shoulder breaker

BCW Women’s Championship: Amanda Kiss vs. Sammi Chaos (c)

This is Sammi’s first defense of the BCW Women’s Championship, as she recently defeated Dani Mo for it. She is facing a much smaller, but very unhinged opponent in Amanda Kiss. Amanda is well traveled and has been making a name for herself in the Carolinas and Virginia. Amanda is making her B2B debut against one of the most dangerous wrestlers in B2B. It seems like whenever I see a Sammi Chaos match, she can just take over anytime she wants to. Amanda was able to get some offense in and has a fun character, but she gets hit with a spear after missing a moonsault. Chaos hits a Vader Bomb to get the win and retain her championship.

Stevie Brooks vs. Valerie Verman

Stevie and Valerie have been two of the most entertaining wrestlers since B2B has started, but they get very different reactions for the crowd. Stevie trains at the Monster Factory, so he is a hometown favorite. Valerie, however is not well liked and she does not seem to really like the crowd either. Verman tried for a crossbody, but Stevie shows off her strength by catching her in midair. Valerie will take any shortcut that she can to try to get the advantage. Valerie tries to go for the Girlie Pedigree, but Stevie escapes, hits a big spear, followed by a Split Splash for the win. Stevie is someone who has very creative moves, connects with the crowd and is always improving. I look for her to be back in the title picture very soon.

Belle 2 Bell Diamonds Championship: Notorious Mimi vs. Gabby Ortiz (c)

These two wrestlers have been at the top of B2B since it’s inception. Gabby won the championship in a 4-way match that included Mimi, Zoey Cannon and Stevie Brooks. It is announced before the match that this is the last time that Mimi can challenge for the championship. These two do not waste any time getting started, as they exchange strikes as soon as the bell rings. Mimi is sometimes not given enough credit for her strength, but she is very powerful and shows it off in this match.

The ref gets inadvertently taken out and Zoey Cannon comes down to the ring, throws the belt to Mimi and Mimi hits Gabby with the belt to get the win. This was a great match, probably my favorite Gabby Ortiz match in B2B. We now have a new champion, who is aligned with possibly the most evil person in B2B, Zoey Canon. Gabby had a great run as champion, but now has her first lost in B2B and we will have to see how she bounces back from this.

You can check out this show and all the past Belle 2 Bell shows on their website. Their next event will be Saved by the Belle on September 20. Already announced for this event is Valentina Vasquez against Becca Wiley, and Journey Burke against Stevie Brooks in a match that could have title contender implications.
