After a gruelling deathmatch against Joey Janela at Juggalo Championship Wrestling’s Powder Keg, Drake Younger grabbed a microphone and gave an in-ring apology.
“I’m here to report to you today with gratitude towards Violent J and JCW, towards Brett Lauderdale and Game Changer Wrestling, I’m here before you a changed man. I am clean. I am sober. I am focused. And I am mentally sharp.”
Drake goes on to say, “To anybody in the past five years that I may have offended for the offensive actions that I took place in. For those that I misrepresented, I want to genuinely say I’m sorry.”
Younger had been outspoken in the past during his time in WWE as a referee. He argued against children wearing masks in schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, based on conspiracy theories related to child trafficking and had shared numerous anti-vaccination posts on his personal Facebook account. He was fired from WWE back in 2021. Since his firing, Younger returned to wrestling, competing in deathmatches for BJW, Circle 6, SVN and Ruthless Pro Wrestling.
JCW Powder Keg streamed live on TrillerTV+.
