Mad Man Pondo and Mickie Knuckles both have been released from Juggalo Championship Wrestling.
Last night’s episode of Juggalo Championship Wrestling’s Tuesday Night Lunacy opened with JCW commissioner Violent J giving some breaking news. He stated that following the actions of Mad Man Pondo and Mickie Knuckles at the “Powder Keg” event, both competitors have been released.
“And even in times of absolute battle, even in times of war, there are some lines which cannot be crossed, but unfortunately 2 Tuff Tony, Mad Man Pondo, and Mickie Knuckles crossed those lines when they set John Wayne Murdoch on fire at Powder King.”
The opening video refers to the match on August 1st between Team GCW (1 Called Manders, John Wayne Murdoch & Matt Tremont) and Team JCW (2 Tuff Tony, Mad Man Pondo & Mickie Knuckles). The match ended in a no contest when Mickie Knuckles set a door on fire and the JCW team sent John Wayne Murdoch through the door, setting him on fire. Murdoch had to be rushed to the hospital after suffering some serious injuries.
Violent J states that 2 Tuff Tony had the least to do with the planning and execution of the spot. He goes on to say, “…I wish Mad Man Pondo and Mickie Knuckles luck on their future endeavors. Maybe we can connect again somewhere down the road, but until then, we’ve definitely got to put a decent amount of space between then and what happened at Powder Keg. We had no idea that was happening. We could not possibly prepare with wet towels and fire extinguishers when nobody in the building knew that was going to happen, except you guys. So we’ve got to deal with it, and I’m sorry we had to let you go.”
This left an opening in the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch, scheduled between JCW Champion Matt Tremont and former champion Mad Man Pondo. Violent J stated that 2 Tuff Tony would be replacing Pondo in the match which takes place this Friday at the Gathering of the Juggalos.
The 2-Day War between JCW and GCW will take place at the Gathering of the Juggalos on Thursday, August 14th and Friday, August 15th. Both events will stream live on TrillerTV+.
