We are just one day away from the start of Game Changer Wrestling’s biggest weekend of the summer, Homecoming weekend. This year’s Homecoming is extra special as GCW is celebrating it’s 10 year anniversary.
In this article I will be previewing the five matches announced for Part 2 of Homecoming. More matches are likely to be announced following the fallout of Night 1. You can check out my preview for Part 1 HERE.
Homecoming weekend will take place starting tomorrow Saturday, August 23rd and continuing on Sunday, August 24th. The events will be held at The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and both shows will stream live on TrillerTV+.

GCW Ultraviolent Championship Match: Matt Tremont (c) vs. Bear Bronson
Starting off with the most anticipated match of the weekend, Matt Tremont versus Bear Bronson for the GCW Ultraviolent Championship.
“The Bulldozer” Matt Tremont has already solidified himself as a deathmatch legend, but he’s currently on a legendary run. Main eventing multiple GCW events since winning the championship earlier this year at Hammerstein Ballroom. Successful title defense after successful title defense. I mentioned this in the preview for Homecoming Part 1, but many believe Tremont is currently doing the best work in his career.
Then there’s Bear Bronson. Bronson has been on a tare since becoming a free agent. He entered the world of deathmatch just two months ago at Cage Of Survival 4 in a match with SLADE. The match stole the weekend and is up there for one of the best independent wrestling matches of the year.
Bronson has mentioned that Tremont is a dream opponent for him, while Tremont took to social media to comment on the match.
“He’s younger, stronger, faster and ready to go. He’s proven that in just a short time. I know this match means a lot to the both of us. This has the big match fight feel I yearn for. He’s a killer, I’m a Survivor. Going into this match It feels like the old days.” – Matt Tremont
I’m unsure of the outcome of this match, but I have a feeling it could go down as one of the greatest matches in the history of GCW.
Prediction: Matt Tremont retains? Maybe?

Drew Parker & Masashi Takeda vs. Lil Sicko & Mr. Danger
We have ourselves a tag team deathmatch as Drew Parker teams with Japanese deathmatch legend Masashi Takeda, to take on new comers Lil Sicko and Mr. Danger.
We’ll start with the team of Lil Sicko and Mr. Danger. This will be the second time these two are teaming up. Sicko is very new to GCW, only competing once before at Cage Of Survival 4. This will be his third match with the company. As for Mr. Danger, he’s fairly new to the deathmatch scene. His first deathmatch was back in December versus John Wayne Murdoch. Since he entered the deathmatch world, he hasn’t been well received by the fans, specifically the online deathmatch community. He’s competed in a total of five deathmatches. It’s safe to say, this will be the biggest test of both of these men’s young careers.
Since debuting for GCW in 2019, Drew Parker has solidified himself as one of the top deathmatch wrestlers in the world today. He has held the King Of FREEDOM World Championship, BJW Death Match Heavyweight Championship, and plenty other championships around the world. He is also a former GCW Ultraviolent Champion. He is teaming with someone that has held all three of those championships, and plenty more. The near 20 year veteran, Masashi Takeda. This man has done it all inside the ring.
As I said before, this will be the biggest test in Lil Sicko and Mr. Danger’s careers. While I’m not completely sold on Lil Sicko and Mr. Danger just yet, I do think they’ll come out of this match better than they were before.
Prediction: Drew Parker & Masashi Takeda

Ultraviolent Classic: John Wayne Murdoch vs. Ciclope
The last deathmatch announced for this event sees John Wayne Murdoch take on Ciclope in what is being billed as Ultraviolent Classic. These two deathmatch veterans are very familiar with one another. They’ve shared the ring with eachother plenty of times throughout the years, mainly in tag team action. They’re 1-1 in singles competition against eachother, so this seems to be the rubber match.
Both Ciclope and John Wayne Murdoch have to be looking for a win here. Ciclope is coming off a loss against his brother Miedo Extremo at Cage Of Survival 4. Before that match he was on a bit of a losing streak. Murdoch is coming off a big injury after getting major burns in a match against 2 Tuff Tony, Mad Man Pondo and Mickie Knuckles. His record in GCW has also been rocky as of late. They also have a chance to scout eachother on Saturday as they both compete in a deathmatch scramble.
Both men have gone out there and put on amazing performances before, so I expect this match to be one of the better deathmatches of the weekend.
Prediction: John Wayne Murdoch

YDNP (Alec Price & Jordan Oliver) & Marcus Mathers vs. Miracle Ones (Dustin Waller, Kylon King & Ichiban)
This match right here has the potential of stealing the entire weekend. Alec Price, Jordan Oliver and Marcus Mathers have already competed in match of the year candidate this year. This one has the potential to reach those heights.
Alec Price, Jordan Oliver and Marcus Mathers have teamed together twice before. One of those times was against Billie Starkz, Megan Bayne and Miyu Yamashita, in what will go down as one of the best matches in the history of GCW. The three are set to take on the trio of Miracle Ones (Dustin Waller, Kylon King and Ichiban).
The tag team of Dustin Waller and Kylon King, known as Miracle Generation, have only competed in GCW three times before (Waller has competed at GCW more times, but as a singles competitor). They’re joined by Ichiban who is making his GCW debut. You have to expect all three are looking to compete in GCW more regularly, so they might go extra hard on this one. This match will go nuts.
Prediction: Alec Price, Jordan Oliver & Marcus Mathers pick up the victory

Los Desperados (Gringo Loco & Jack Cartwheel) vs. VNDL48 (Otis Cogar & Christian Napier)
The tag team of Gringo Loco and Jack Cartwheel, Los Desperados will square off against VNDL48’s Otis Cogar and Christian Napier. If Los Desperados defeat Alec Price and Jordan Oliver for the tag team titles on Saturday, you would have to expect this to be a championship match.
This match is a bit of a styles clash. Los Desperados will look to have a fast paced match, while VNDL48 might look to slow down the pace. VNDL48 is going into this match at an advantage, as we haven’t seen Otis Cogar and Christian Napier tag together in GCW much. They have one previous match at the GCW/JCW Showcase last month. They also have the advantage of being family. Sometimes no one has your back quite like family. I expect a victory from them here.
Prediction: VNDL48 continue to be a threat in GCW
