“The Bad Boy” Joey Janela took to Twitter to talk about Game Changer Wrestling, who are celebrating 10 years as a wrestling promotion in the business.

“Happy 10 years, GCW! Thank you to the fans. Thank you, we wouldn’t be here without you guys. Who knew a little deathmatch up start in Howell, New Jersey, basically running in a garage, would become one of the most influential wrestling promotions of all time. What a history! What a 10 years! What moments!

I’ve been here since the beginning. Guys like [Matt] Tremont have been here since the beginning. John Wayne Murdoch, etc. There’s a lot of people that are not with us here anymore. Guys like Danny Havoc. Guys like Marcus Crane, Those guys. A lot of guys. Nate Hatred, and so on and so forth. Sandra, Nick’s [Gage] wife. She was with us since the beginning. She rode with GCW. R.I.P. to all those people. Piss Jug Mike, one of the biggest wrestling fanatics I’ve ever met in my life. We wouldn’t have made it to the 10-year mark without them.

But now on to the young guns. The five guys I was in there with tonight. Marcus [Mathers], Jordan [Oliver], Alec [Price]. The new death match guys, Bear [Bronson], Dr. Redacted, Lil Sicko, Mr. Danger, Slade. All those guys are going hard as fuck. People like this will carry us into the next 10 years of GCW.

We didn’t have any women when this company started, we had only Penelope [Ford], and we’ve had a woman World Champion Masha [Slamovich]. Girls like Megan [Bayne] Dark Sheik, Allie Katch. Brooke Havok, there’s another young gun that’s coming to the pitcher.

We become one of the most inclusive wrestling promotions in the world. We love our LGBT wrestlers. We love our fans.”

Janela would go on to talk about the influence that GCW has had, in not just independent wrestling, but professional wrestling as a whole.

“The landscape would be very different without GCW. I’ve heard that, from a lot of people, a lot of people in a lot of higher places. They’ve told me straight up, if GCW didn’t exist, if Spring Break didn’t exist, this landscape would be completely different in 2025.”

GCW just held their annual Homecoming events this past weekend at The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Janela teamed up with Matt Tremont and Masha Slamovich to take on VNDL48 on Homecoming Part 1, then competed in a scramble match on Part 2.
