“Talk To Me” and “Bring Her Back” director Michael Philippou is scheduled to compete in an Exploding Barbed Wire Match in Mexico later this month.
On September 20th, Michael Philippou, director of A24 horror movies “Bring Her Back” and “Talk To Me” will be competing in an exploding barbed wire match. Him alongside his twin brother, Danny Philippou will collaborate with Game Changer Wrestling and Lucha Libre Vanguardia to bring “Deathmatch Mexican Rush” taking place in Pachuca, Mexico. It is unclear as to who he will be facing at the event, but this isn’t Phillipou’s first deathmatch.
He has competed twice before against GCW’s Jimmy Lloyd, with one of the matches being filmed for an upcoming deathmatch documentary directed by the brothers. The documentary will be released sometime in the future by film studio A24.
The event will also feature Rina Yamashita, Ciclope, Miedo Extremo and Damian 666.
