wXw Femme Fatales 2025 Preview

The German promotion wXw has announced the participants and schedule for the prestigious Femmes Fatales tournament, which is now a week away.

The Femmes Fatales tournament has become one of the top female wrestling tournaments in the world. This year will be the eighth Femmes Fatales tournament, which started back in 2016. The previous winners of the tournament have been Alpha Female AKA Jazzy Gabert, Toni Storm, Meiko Satomura, Lufisto, Aliss Ink, Nicole Matthews, and last year’s winner, Anita Vaughn.

The eight competitors in this year’s tournament are:

The defending champion, Anita Vaughan.

Anita Vaughan had a career defining weekend at last year’s Grand Prix. She started the weekend by having a match that everyone was talking about against 1 Called Manders. Then she preceded to defeat one of the best wrestlers in Europe, in Rhio, and then defeated Debbie Keitel in the finals to win the Femmes Fatales.

After that, she went on to defeat Levaniel to win the wXw Shotgun Title. Since that weekend, Vaughan has gone on to keep her star status climbing. She has defended the Shotgun title on seven different occasions, including against Rhio, Stephanie Maze, and went to a 15-minute time limit draw in an incredible match against Bobby Gunns. She also captured tag team gold in EVE with Debbie Keitel and the EVE international title.

Making her return to the Femmes Fatales tournament, Leyla Hirsch.

Leyla Hirsch is one of the best female technical wrestlers today, and is looking to prove something since leaving AEW earlier this year. Leyla spent late 2020 to the end of 2024 in ROH and AEW, and before that she spent most of 2020 in Stardom. So, she has been facing the best in the world for the past 5 years.

Leyla has challenged for both the ROH Women’s title and the ROH Women’s Television title. She also has competed in Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport twice, against Lindsey Snow in 2020 and defeating Jordan Blade in 2025. The last time that Leyla competed in the Femmes Fatales tournament was in 2019, where she defeated Emersyn Jayne and Session Moth Martina before falling to Lufisto in the finals.

The international pop star, B3CCA.

The last time that B3CCA’s World Tour made a stop in Germany at wXw was back in 2023. A lot has happened since then. She had to take an extended period of time off, and during that time release her first full length album.

B3CCA has taken on some of the best wrestlers since returning to the US, including AEW/ROH star Deonna Purazzo, WWE EVOLVE star Zayda Steel, WWE ID Women’s Champion Kylie Rae, AEW star Megan Bayne, and others. B3CCA loves to sing herself to the ring and have fun, but she will need to stay focused to advance in this tournament.

One of the hottest young stars in professional wrestling, Safire Reed.

Safire Reed is one of the fastest rising young wrestlers in Europe. She has gone from a lovable young girl, new to wrestling into someone with an attitude that you need to win titles and tournaments like this. Safire has been climbing the ranks of female European wrestlers, having won the EVE Championship by defeating Miyu Yamashita and held the UKPW Inter-Regional Championship.

She has also had some success in tournaments. Safire won the EVE SHE-1 Tournament in 2023 by defeating Laura Di Matteo, Jetta, Emersyn Jayne and current AEW star Alex Windsor in the finals. More recently, Safire won a number one contenders tournament in RevPro, defeating Kanji and Emersyn Jayne to earn a chance to face Mercedes Mone for the RevPro Women’s Championship. With the momentum that Saphire has had going into this tournament, she has to be one of the favorites.

The Germain Muay Thai and kickboxing expert, Stephanie Maze.

Stephanie Maze is a German wrestler who has been in multiple wXw tournaments in her eight year career, but this is her first Femmes Fatale tournament. In February she made it to the Road to 16 Carat Gold Tournament by defeating Baby Allison, but was beat in the finals by Bobby Gunns.

Maze currently holds the Independent Women’s Championship in the Project Nova promotion and the GWF Mixed Tag Team Championship. She has also held the wXw World Tag Team Championship on two different occasions. In last year’s 16 Carat Gold tournament, Maze fell to 1 Called Manders in a very exciting and hard hitting bout, even drawing blood from the American. Stephanie will look to turn her tournament luck around by using her experience and homefield advantage to take this tournament.

One of the most dangerous women on the planet, Emersyn Jayne.

Emersyn Jayne is one of the top death match wrestlers in the world, male or female. But she can excel in any form of wrestling. Emersyn is one of the most celebrated participants in this tournament, having been in the PWI 500 twice, and the Women’s PWI three times.

Emersyn has held a litany of championships, including the TNT Extreme Division Championship, which she won in a match of the year candidate against Drew Parker in March. She has only been in the Femmes Fatale tournament once before, where she lost to Leyla Hirsch in the first round, but she has competed and won many other tournaments. She won an EVE Title Tournament in 2019, defeating a who’s who of women’s wrestling, from Emi Sakura in the first round, Rhio and Piper Niven in the second round, and Alba Fyre in the finals.

In recent years, she competed in two of the most prestigious death match tournaments in the world, GCW’s Nick Gage Invitational, where she had an incredible triple threat match against Masha Slamovich and Risa Sera. She was successful in winning the DOA Tournament in 2024 and had violent and incredible matches in all three rounds. Emersyn is a tough competitor to eliminate, no matter what kind of match she’s in.

Making her second appearance in the Femmes Fatales tournament, Baby Allison.

Baby Allison is a veteran of the European wrestling scene and wXw, as she has been wrestling since 2016 and a part of wXw since 2019. She has been in the 2019 Femme Fatales tournament and the 2025 Road to 16 Carat Gold tournaments, falling to Lana Austin and Stephanie Maze in the first rounds. In non-tournament action she has had much more success, winning the wXw Women’s championship on two separate occasions. Allison has also collected championships in four other promotions in Germany, as well as in Pro Wrestling Holland.

Throughout her career, Allison has taken on some of the best that Europe and the world has to offer, including Rachel Armstrong, Lena Kross, Anita Vaughan, Hyan, Killer Kelly, Lyra Valkyria, and more, so she will not be intimidated by anyone in this field.

The young powerhouse, Orsi.

Orsi has been a regular in wXw and other European promotions since making her debut in late 2021. Recently she spent some time in the US, where she competed at the World Famous Monster Factory, faced Hannah Taylor in the Queen of the North tournament and teamed with Jay Lucas, Terry Yaki, and ROH star Billie Starkz in JCW.

Orsi likes to dominate her opponents with the strength advantage that she typically has. She proved how dangerous she was at wXw Fight Forever when she took on Robert Dreisker, and broke his nose. Orsi’s prior appearance in the Femmes Fatale tournament was in 2022, where she was defeated in the first round. She will try to use that experience and the confidence that she gained in the US to advance in the tournament.

The tournament will take place throughout the Grand Prix weekend, September 26-28, with the first rounds being on show 1 on Friday night and on show 2 on Saturday afternoon. The semi-finals will be on show 3 on Saturday night and the finals will be on show 4 on Sunday afternoon.

The first round matches on Show 1 will be B3CCA against Orsi, and Leyla Hirsch against Baby Allison. B3CCA and Orsi have faced off once before in wXw in 2022 with B3CCA coming out on top, but these wrestlers are very different than they were 3 years ago. Leyla and Allison also met once before in 2019 with Layla getting the victory.

The first-round matches on show 2 are Safire Reed against Stephaine Maze, and Emersyn Jayne against Anita Vaughan. Safire vs Maze appears to be a first-time matchup, while Emersyn and Anita have battled each other in tag team matches.
