Last night at St. Louis Anarchy’s ‘Mega Bowl’ event, independent wrestler Jake Bosche announced that he would be stepping away from a professional wrestling ring.

Following his match against Laynie Luck, the St. Louis native gave the shocking and unfortunate news that he would have to be leaving the world of professional wrestling due to a serious back injury. Bosche then posted a video on social media speaking more on the matter.

In the video, Bosche states that he broke his back in the past year, but he is unclear as to when it actually happened. He then released a tweet thanking everyone for the support.

“Thank you all for the messages and tweets. I want to respond to everyone but I’m overwhelmed with so much support I’m just so grateful. I couldn’t have prayed for a better community to dive head first in. You have all been so good to me. I’ll never forget yall. Thank you ❤️”

In his short two year career, Jake Bosche held the DREAMWAVE Tag Team Championships, United Glory Tag Team Championships, and a few other championships alongside Scott Stanley as the tag team The New Guys. He was trained by Warhorse Jake Parnell and Camaro Jackson.

We would like to send Jake Bosche best wishes in his future.
