Rayne Leverkusen Defeats Rhio To Become New PROGRESS Women’s World Champion

There is a new PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s World Champion!

Rayne Leverkusen defeated the now former PROGRESS Women’s World Champion, Rhio, after a nearly 30-minute war. The title change happened at today’s PROGRESS Wrestling event, “Chapter 185: Jump In The Line.” Leverkusen put an end to Rhio’s 175-day-long reign with her shocking upset victory.

Rhio won the PROGRESS Women’s World Championship back in May after defeating Nina Samuels in a “Title vs. Career” match back at PROGRESS Wrestling’s “Chapter 180: Super Strong Style 16.” Over the course of the next five months, she would go on to defeat the likes of Kanji, Lucy Sky, Celine, and JGU.

Following the match, Rhio showed the new champion a sign of respect and handed her over the title before making her way to the back. It remains to be seen where Rhio goes from here. However, one thing we know for sure is Rayne now sits alone atop the mountain of the PROGRESS Wrestling women’s division.

The event streamed live on TrillerTV+ from the Electric Ballroom in London. The replay of the event is available at any time on TrillerTV+.
