We have a new West Coast Pro World Heavyweight Champion!
The main event of West Coast Pro’s seventh anniversary show saw Kevin Blackwood put his West Coast Pro World Championship on the line against Vinnie Massaro. However, this was not just an ordinary title match, it was a “Title vs. Career” match, where Massaro put his professional wrestling career on the line against Blackwood to call himself the West Coast Pro World Champion.
The two men put on a damn-near perfect match. They both continued to show why they are two of the greatest on the West Coast Pro roster. In the end, Massaro hit a snoring elbow on Blackwood to knock him out and win the West Coast Pro World Championship, ending Blackwood’s impressive 290+ day reign. This also marked Massaro’s first-ever time capturing the West Coast Pro World Championship.
Blackwood’s most recent reign, his second with the West Coast Pro World Championship, saw him pick up wins over the likes of Titus Alexander, Trevor Lee, Calvin Tankman, Danny Orion, Shane Haste, Cedric Alexander, and Karl Fredericks. Now, it’s Massaro’s time to shine.
