From Thursday, October 30th, through Sunday, November 2nd, we saw several Halloween-type events take over independent wrestling from the West Coast to the East Coast. From the likes of Beyond Wrestling, FSW, Rebel Spirit Pro, West Coast Pro, and Fight Life Pro, here are five must-see matches that any fan of independent wrestling should go back and check out on their respective streaming services.

5. Krule vs. PCO from Beyond Wrestling’s “Green Hell”
Kicking off the list, we saw a real-life monster fight come to life as Krule battled PCO on Friday, October 31st, at Beyond Wrestling’s big Halloween-type event, “Green Hell.” This was a battle that saw the fight between Freddy Krueger and Jason Vorhees come to life. Krule has been the independent wrestling scene’s biggest monster, and it’s not particularly close. However, if there’s someone who can get close to Krule in terms of their ability to go to places very few others could go to, it’s PCO. PCO is a timeless wonder, and every time he steps in the ring, he continues to amaze audiences across the country. Without giving too much away, this match had it all. Weapons, doors, and a fantastic Halloween-type atmosphere, which made this match feel that much better. Go back and check this one out anytime on Beyond Wrestling’s IWTV VOD Channel.

4. Brittnie Brooks vs. Gypsy Mac from FSW’s “Devil’s Night”
Continuing on with the Halloween-themed shows, Future Stars of Wrestling held their event on Thursday, October 30th, “Devil’s Night.” The event saw four championship matches, including a casket match, which saw Brittnie Brooks defend her FSW Women’s Championship against the same woman she won it from, Gypsy Mac. The idea of a casket match is always a very interesting one. However, if the rivalry calls for it and the setting calls for it, it could be a major success. This rivalry certainly called for it, and it was the day before Halloween, so safe to say the setting was perfect for this match to take place. Brooks and Mac are two of the biggest and best young, unsigned talents today. Truthfully, a case can be made for either of these women that they should be on TV by now. Whenever these women get in the ring together, magic is made, and this time it was no different. Go back and check this one out on TitleMatchNetwork.

3. Myles Hawkins vs. Ichiban from Rebel Spirit Pro Wrestling’s “Fear No Evil”
Keeping the Halloween-themed events alive, we saw Rebel Spirit Pro Wrestling hold their big Halloween-type event, “Fear No Evil.” The event was headlined by Donovan Dijak defending his Rebel Spirit Pro Wrestling World Championship against Krule in a casket match. That was a fun one. However, perhaps no match on the card was better than the opening match, which saw Myles Hawkins face off with Ichiban. I’m fairly new to jumping on the Hawkins bandwagon, but he’s immensely talented. Ichiban is right up there with him, so these two had their styles mesh very well. This was the perfect way to open the card and set the tone for the remainder of the show. Taking nothing away from the other matches on this show, but Hawkins and Ichiban put on the best match, and it wasn’t necessarily close. Go back and check this one out on TitleMatchNetwork.

2. Crush Boys vs. Cowboy Way from West Coast Pro’s “How The West Was Won”
In the only match on this list that wasn’t at a Halloween-themed event, we saw the Crush Boys, Titus Alexander, and Starboy Charlie defend their West Coast Pro Tag Team Championships in a very highly anticipated rematch against The Cowboy Way’s Thomas Shire and 1 Called Manders. This was the best match of the night, which is saying something because there were so many excellent matches, including Johnnie Robbie defending her West Coast Pro Women’s Championship against Dani Luna, Willow Nightingale going one-on-one with Maya World, and Kevin Blackwood defending his West Coast Pro World Championship against Vinnie Massaro. This was a match that was an excellent tale of two halves. The first half saw some silliness and a beatdown by Cowboy Way on Alexander. However, the second half was absolutely tremendous. The match from start to finish was a war. Both of these teams have redefined what tag team wrestling means to West Coast Pro over the past year, and it’s easy to see why. Go back and check this match out, for free, on the West Coast Pro Wrestling YouTube channel.

1. Richard Holliday vs. JT Dunn from Fight Life Pro’s “Squared Circle Seance IV”
The number one match on this list, you guessed it, came from a Halloween-themed event. Fight Life Pro held it’s big return event on Sunday, “Squared Circle Seance IV.” The event saw some big matches, including Shannon LeVangie vs. Dustin Waller, Dezmond Cole vs. Ichiban, and Mortar vs. Gangrel. However, perhaps the best match on the card was the main event, which saw JT Dunn cash in his “Call Your Shot” contract and challenge Richard Holliday for Holliday’s Fight Life World Championship. Dunn has been a staple of independent wrestling in the northeast for the past decade. He is one of the best to ever come out of the New England area, and it’s easy to see why when you see him compete. Now, he has a new motivation, as he and his wife welcomed their baby boy, Paxton. Despite more than likely losing sleep, Dunn hasn’t lost a step in the ring. This was a fantastic match, which only goes on to add to his resume in showing people how good he is. Despite Holliday’s cocky and arrogant attitude, he is very talented in his own right. Holliday has crushed it in his reign as the Fight Life World Championship and more than deserves his flowers.
