This past Saturday, Nor “Phoenix” Diana made her second appearance in the United States, defending the APAC Wrestling Women’s Championship against AEW’s Mercedes Mone.
The House of Glory ‘Superclash’ event saw a packed Suffolk Credit Union Arena in Long Island, watch the two go to battle in the main event of the show. Unfortunately for Diana, her time as APAC Wrestling Women’s Champion came to an end, as Mercedes Mone put a stop to her 763 reign as champion and added belt number 13 to her collection.
Nor “Phoenix” Diana took to social media to reflect on her reign as champion.
763 days.
My reign as the APAC Wrestling Women’s Champion has come to an end but this title was always more than just a championship. It was a statement. A fight. A responsibility.
Every day, I carried it not just for myself, but for the underrepresented, for hijabis, for APAC, for Malaysians who dream big. And I did it with pride.
I accept this loss with my head high.
Because I proved that a girl with a dream, with passion, discipline, and heart, can thrive in a world that once felt impossible.
I got to main event House Of Glory Wrestling and defend prestigious APAC Women’s Championship against the No. 1 women’s wrestler in the world. The woman who lit the fire in me a decade ago, Mercedes Mone. A full-circle moment I’ll carry forever.
But this isn’t the end.
I will fight, I will work, and I will rise again. I will earn my way back to that championship… and all the way to the biggest stage of them all.
The journey continues.
And as always, the flame never dies.
