From the weekend of Friday, December 5th, through Sunday, December 7th, independent wrestling was alive and well in the United States. From the likes of Chaotic Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, Uprising Women’s Athletes, and ACTION Wrestling, here are five must-see matches every fan of professional wrestling should go back and check out on their respective streaming services.

5. Mortar vs. Aaron Rourke from Chaotic Wrestling’s “The Balance Of Power”
Kicking off the list, we saw Mortar defend his Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Championship against WWE ID prospect, Aaron Rourke. On Friday night at Chaotic Wrestling’s big event, “The Balance of Power,” we saw a ton of excellent action. However, perhaps no match stole the show quite like the main event did. Mortar has been on one of the best runs of his entire career. He’s been showing the world exactly how valuable he is inside the ring. That’s why Chaotic crowned him; he can have a fantastic match with anyone you throw in front of him. What made this match so good was that he had an excellent dance partner. Rourke has grown tremendously since I first started covering his career at Create A Pro. Now, he’s showcasing to the world just how talented he is on WWE Evolve as a WWE ID prospect. When it was announced, fans knew this match was a recipe for success. It lived up to the hype and then some. Go back and check this one out on the Chaotic Wrestling YouTube and Twitch channels.

4. Drew Parker vs. Ciclope from Game Changer Wrestling’s “Highest In The Room 4”
On the second of two Game Changer Wrestling shows this weekend, GCW returned to Los Angeles, CA, for its big event, “Highest In The Room 4.” The main event of the show saw Atticus Cogar put his GCW World Championship on the line against the former champion, EFFY. However, no match quite stole the show like the match that was had right before the main event took place, Drew Parker going one-on-one with Ciclope in a deathmatch. Now, let me preface this by saying that I’m not necessarily the biggest deathmatch fan. However, watching Parker amazes me every single time I see him step in the ring. Ciclope is another fantastic bout machine when it comes to violence. This was a match filled with blood, brutality, and violence. Parker is on a hot streak heading into NGI next weekend, and a win over Ciclope could further build his momentum. Every time Parker steps in the ring, he amazes everyone with what he can do and the lengths to which he’ll survive to win a match. This was no different. 3. Brittnie Brooks vs. Kylie Alexa from Uprising Women’s Athletes “Uprising 7”
Next on the list, we saw Uprising Women’s Athletes return to LaSalle, IL, for its big event, “Uprising 7.” The main event saw 30 women vie for the “Good As Gold” briefcase in the annual “Good As Gold” rumble. We also saw B3CCA defend her Dreamwave Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler. However, the match that stood head and shoulders above the rest was the opening match of the night, which saw Brittnie Brooks go one-on-one with Kylie Alexa. For those who don’t know, or who may have been living under a rock, Brooks has been one of the top women on the independent wrestling scene for quite some time. She arguably has the most potential on the scene that you could imagine. She’s so good in the ring, and she already has the charisma of a star. Quite frankly, there’s not much that she can do. Much of the same can be said for Kylie Alexa. Alexa, the sister of the former NWA World Women’s Champion, Kenzie Paige, has been making a name for herself on the indie scene and carving her own path. She’s very talented in her own right, and the fans love her, or hate her. She can make fans feel whichever way she wants them to. Combining these two in one match was a recipe for success. It was the perfect match to open a very fun Uprising event, and set the tone for what to expect: some great kick-ass wrestling. Women’s wrestling is alive, well, and most importantly, thriving. These two women are a big reason why that is. Go back and check this one out on IWTV.

2. Tim Bosby vs. Darian Bengston from ACTION Wrestling’s “Bangers Only 6”
Next up, we saw ACTION Wrestling return to Tyrone, GA, for its big event, “Bangers Only 6.” The instant-classic main event of the show saw Tim Bosby defend his ACTION Wrestling World Championship against Darian Bengston. Bosby has held the title since November of last year, 377 days to be exact, when he first won the belt from Jake Parnell. Since then, Bosby has carried ACTION Wrestling on his back, defending the title against the likes of Krule, Adam Priest, Landon Hale, and so many more. Bosby even matched up with Bengston a few times, defeating Bengston twice and losing to him once via DQ. Bengston had a bill mountain to climb in front of him if he hoped to do the unthinkable. However, Bengston was ready for the challenge this time. This was a much-improved and much more game Bengston than we’ve ever seen. These two left it all out in the ring for the top prize in all of ACTION Wrestling. Without spoiling too much, this may have been one of the best matches of the year for ACTION Wrestling. It was chaotic in the best way possible. Go back and check this one out on IWTV.

1. Drew Parker vs. Vipress from Game Changer Wrestling’s “Say You Will”
Topping off this list, we saw Game Changer Wrestling return to the Washington Hall in Seattle, WA, for its big event, “Say You Will.” The main event of the show saw Atticus Cogar defend his GCW World Championship against the GCW Ultraviolent Champion, Matt Tremont. However, earlier in the match, we saw Drew Parker go one-on-one with Vipress. This was a much more tame match than we saw the following day against Ciclope, but it was arguably the better of the two. Taking nothing away from his match with Ciclope, Parker and Vipress absolutely killed it in this one. Parker is one of the most talented wrestlers, whether in a deathmatch style or even a less violent style like the match he had with Vipress, which still saw its fair share of violence. As for Vipress, she has been showing the world exactly how talented she is for this whole year. Vipress has become a mainstay on this list in her big matches, and it’s very easy to see why. She’s so good in the ring and can hang with whoever you put in front of her. If I could use one word to describe this match, it would have to be tough. This was a tough match for each competitor. They had to go above and beyond to put the other away. Go back and check this one out on TrillerTV+.
