Match One: DPW Women’s Championship – Miyuki Takase (c) vs. Dani Luna (6/16/2024) 

From DPW Live 6 in Chicago, Illinois. Test of strength which plays into Luna’s advantage, and she shoulderblocks Takase down. Suplex and a basement clothesline get two. Takase hits a missile dropkick and exchanges forearms, then gets a DDT for two. Crossbody attempt is blocked as Luna hits a fallaway slam and a kneedrop for two. On the apron, Takase snaps the neck of Luna over the top rope and hits a top-rope missile dropkick. Flying forearm by Takase for two. Clotheslline and a spear for another two count. Rolling senton but a middle-rope legdrop misses, with Luna getting a Sick Kick to even the odds. Takase with a big lariat for two. She tries another but runs into one from Luna instead. Delayed vertical suplex followed by a Falcon Arrow gets two for the challenger. Stacked powerbomb for a close two count. Dani heads to the top rope with Takase meeting her there and the champion gets a superplex, then lariats Luna down again. Middle-rope legdrop connects this time for the win to retain. ***

Match Two: DPW Tag Team Championship – Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs. Evil Uno & Stu Grayson (1/21/2024) 

This is from the DPW You Already Know show in Raleigh, NC. Shelley and Grayson tie up. Quick STF by Shelley but Grayson gets to the ropes. Dropkick from Stu and a tag is made to Evil Uno so Sabin tags in for the Guns. Uno with a neckbreaker. MCMG with a double team bulldog as Shelley is back in and boots Grayson in the face. Dragonscrew legwhip in the ropes gets two as the Guns continue to work on the leg of Grayson. Shelley applies a figure-four next and Sabin does the same to Uno. Stu gets an enzuigiri and tags Uno as the SSB take Sabin out. Corner splash on Shelley and a La Majestral cradle pin attempt from Grayson gets two. SSB gets an assisted elbowdrop for two. Enzuigiri by Grayson but Shelley makes the tag to Sabin. Uno quickly books him down and hits a Swanton Bomb for two. Sabin fights off the SSB and gets a crossbody off the top on both. Tope suicida out to the floor. Dropkick/flatliner combo by the Guns gets two. Uno avoids a Helluva kick from Sabin which hits Shelley. Grayson gets a 450 splash for two on Sabin. SSB looks for Fatality but Shelley breaks that up as the Guns look for Skull and Bones but can’t get it. Fatality attempt is again misses, and Sabin gets Uno in a jackknife pin to win it. This was good but slihgtly disappointing for me. **¾

Match Three: DPW World Championship – Lucky Ali (c) vs. SB KENTo (1/14/2023) 

From DPW Live 1 in Concord, NC. Tieup starts us off with Ali sending SBK out to the floor. Lucky grabs a headlock as the crowd gets behind SBK and he counters to an armlock. Hiptoss and a low dropkick from KENTo and Ali bails out to the floor. Armdrag from SBK and he backdrops the champion out to the floor. Ali comes back and guillotines SBK on the middle rope then applies a chinlock back inside. They head to the floor where Lucky sends the challenger into the guardrail. Back inside Ali gets a two count then locks in a cravat, as we work our way through the library of rest holds. Back suplex gets two for Ali. SBK fights out of the corner with some kneestrikes and a running low dropkick. DDT by the challenger gets a two count. Ali with a throat thrust and they fight over a vertical suplex which winds up with both guys on the apron, and Lucky front-suplexes him onto the top buckle. Rana with a roll through for two and SBK gets a backslide for two. Ali crashes to the outside so KENTo follows with a somersault plancha to the floor. SBK leaps onto the shoulders of Ali, but he throws KENTo down face first for a two count. Ali goes for the Grime Line but SBK gets a rana and pin for two, then locks in a Sharpshooter with Ali eventually getting the ropes. Ali gets a small package for two but SBK gets a German with a bridge for two. Ali escapes a suplex and hits the Grime Line for the win to retain. The last 5 minutes or so were good but this was a bit slow before that point. **½  

Match Four: Kevin Knight vs. Myron Reed vs. Calvin Tankman (3/26/2023) 

Part of the DPW Forever: Steel Cage Showdown show from Durham. Crowd seems firmly behind Tankman to start. Three-way test of strength with Tank pushing both his opponents away, then shoulderblocks both Reed and Knight down. Reed legdrops Tank down then tries a dive but gets caught, So Knight does an Asai Moonsault to the floor and actually lands over the guardrail into the crowd. Reed and Knight throw Tankman into the guardrail as they team up to try and take the big man out. Back in Reed gets an enzuigiri on Knight but Knight comes back with a bodyslam and splash for two. Corner charge is misses so Reed superkicks him and gets two. Calvin Tankman re-enters and clobbers both and does a corkscrew splash off the middle rope. Tank tries to suplex both guys but instead gets suplexed himself and all three men are down. Double superkick to Tankman, but he comes right back and suplexes both Knight and Reed at once. Back elbow strike to Reed and a driver gets a two count. Reed gets a superkick, then jumps onto Tank’s shoulders. Somehow Knight manages to dropkick Reed off Tankman into a poison rana. Reed goes for a springboard cutter but gets dropkicked mid-air for two. Knight with a pop-up DDT on Tankman who rolls out to the floor. Reed dropkicks Knight mid-pescado, then follows with a tope to the floor. He goes up top only for Knight to rana him off. Knight tries a crossbody but gets caught in a hangman’s DDT for two. Reed hits a cutter on Tankman but gets caught in a stacked powerbomb fror two. Tankman Driver on Reed finishes this one. Best match of this bunch so far. ***½

Match Five: DPW National Championship – Andrew Everett (c) vs. BK Westbrook (4/16/2023) 

From DPW Live 2 in Ridgefield Park, NJ. They trade arm wringers and BK escapes out of a rana, then piefaces the champion. Everett chops away and lands a dropkick. BK gets knocked to the floor and Everett gets an Asai Moonsault out there. Back suplex by the Giant and he heads up top, but Westbrook rolls out of the way. Everett jumps onto the apron but gets kicked off and down to the floor. BK sends the champion into the post and puts him in a Boston Crab on the floor. Inside, Westbrook works on the back of the champion with some kicks. Everett comes back with a springboard DDT putting both guys down. BK guillotines Everett across the top rope, then hits a springboard corkscrew moonsault for two. Backbreaker gets a two count. Lionsault hits knees and Everett avoids another Boston Crab sending BK into the buckles. Giant with an enzuigiri and he looks for the chokeslam but Westbrook counters with a DDT. Everett with a poison rana and pulls the strap down (!). Chokeslam is again avoided with a low blow (ref out of position) and a flying Sliced Bread gets only two. Westbrook goes up but this time Everett rolls out of the way. CHOKESLAM hits this time but only gets two. Westbrook rolls out to the apron and rakes the eyes of Everett on the top rope. He looks for his own chokeslam, but Everett flips out of it and rolls up BK for two. Running kneestrike by Westbrook and he looks for a powerbomb but Everett snaps off a rana then hits a Shooting Star Press to retain. ***½ 

Final Thoughts: The 3-way and National Title match were both very good, and the Women’s Title match is worth a watch as well.
