Allie Katch has addressed the elephant in the room.
Allie Katch has posted a video in which she addresses the question of her absence from GCW, along with a tweet that states, “There’s only so much I can fit in a video and in text but the overwhelming message is: when you love something set it free. I am letting go to make room for more in my life.”
In the video Allie goes on to say, “So let’s address the elephant in the room. Everyone is asking me, ‘when are you coming back to GCW?’ I don’t know. I don’t know when. I don’t know if. And that’s not to say that there’s any bad blood between me and Brett or me and GCW. I have only love and thanks for everything I have done and I am able to do because of GCW. I was a nobody when Brett let me in that ring. And now I can say I’ve gone to Japan, I’ve gone to Australia, I’ve gone to the UK. I’m in one of the most well-known tag teams that won championship gold. I went to Hammerstein twice. Who else can say that on the independents? So why tarnish that legacy in GCW by coming back and doing what? Being in random six mans. Being comedic relief. Being a sidekick. I don’t want to be a part of any of that anymore. I know I can do better. I know I’m meant for more. I know that I am supposed to be champion. And at GCW, I have never gotten the chance, and I don’t know if I ever will. I don’t wanna go back there if there’s no room for Allie as a world champion. So I think it’s time to let that story go. I think after everything, I love you, I miss you, but GCW, I think this is goodbye.”
Allie Katch last competed for GCW at their “The People vs. GCW” event on January 19, 2025. She was injured that night during her match against Effy. Katch returned back to the ring in November, but has yet to return to GCW.
