Jonathan Gresham is ready to return to the ring.
“The Octopus” Jonathan Gresham will make his return to the wrestling ring tonight, as he’s set to face “Fancy” Ryan Clancy at Beyond Wrestling’s ‘Wildest Dreams’. This will be his first match back since suffering two COVID-19 related strokes back in August of last year. He last wrestled Pete Dunne at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV on August 2, 2025.
Gresham recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, about his return to the ring.
“Everybody already knows I had two strokes. They were Covid-related strokes. Now I’m fully ready to go. I’m 100 percent and I’m off to the races.”
Gresham also gave a message to any doubters.
“Good luck to them. My goal is to encourage the younger generation to do what you love about pro wrestling–by doing what I love about pro wrestling.”
Beyond Wrestling’s ‘Wildest Dreams’ will stream tonight, January 23rd, live at 8pm EST on IWTV. The event also features IWTV Independent Wrestling World Champion Krule defending the title against Gabby Forza, and more.
