EVE – Riott Grrrls of Wrestling has generously posted over two hours of free matches on their YouTube channel of AEW stars in EVE, so let’s give it a look!

Match One: Alex Windsor vs. Jamie Hayter (2/7/2025)

This is from EVE 131: Multiverse Rumble in London, England. They shake hands to start and we see a clock set for 30 minutes as the time limit. Both go for the collar and elbow tieup with neither gaining the advantage. Hayter gets a takedown and headlock. Windsor looks to escape but Jamie pulls her down by the hair. They trade shoulderblocks and forearms. Hayter lands a missile dropkick from the second rope but Windsor quickly comes back with an armdrag and a dropkick that gets a two count. We head out to the floor where Hayter tosses Alex into some chairs and walks across her. She looks for what appears to be a bulldog but gets pushed into the chairs instead. Jamie swings a chair and misses, letting Windsor kick it into her face. Back inside that gets a two count. Neckbreaker out of the corner gets another two. Hayter turns things around with a DVD and then pounds away. DDT and some kneedrops to the stomach of Windsor gets two. Release German suplex and more walking across the back of Windsor to add insult to injury. Ten turnbuckle shots to the head and a short jackhammer gets two. Windsor ducks a clothesline and hits her own, then kips up and applies a Scorpion Deathlock. Alex charges right into a spinebuster from Hayter that gets two. Another German but Windsor fires up and gets a German herself. They clothesline each other and both crumble to the mat. We get some powerslaps and Hayter gets a big lariat but misses a Hayterade and gets powerbombed for two. Windsor shrugs off some strikes and charges into a powerbomb. Shining Wizard by Hayter gets two. To the top rope which ends with Windsor getting a Fisherman’s Buster for two. Back to the Scorpion in the middle, and Hayter grabs the hair then hits a snap piledriver for one. Uranage backbreaker and Hayterade finish this one to give Jaimie the win. This was enjoyable, with a nice story of Hayter returning home to face a rising UK star in Windsor. ***¾

Match Two: Anita Vaughan vs. Queen Aminata (8/23/2025)

From EVE 138: EVE x The World in London. This is the debut for Aminata in EVE. 20-minute time limit. Vaughan doesn’t go for a handshake, so they tie up and go through a series of reversals. Anita shoulderblocks the Queen down, but Aminata quickly recovers and delivers the Chocolate Kisses sending Vaughan scooting out to the floor. Aminata goes for the facewash boot but misses, hanging in the ropes and gets booted in the face. Backbreaker and a vertical suplex get only one on the Queen. Fallaway slam sends Aminata rolling out to the floor. They trade chops out there, then Anita sends the Queen into the stairs. I learn there are no countouts in EVE as Vaughan boots Aminata back into some chairs. Back in the ring Anita charges the corner but Aminata avoids it and hits about 10 clotheslines in a row, then a snap suplex. Facewash kick in the corner gets two. Running forearm gives her another two count and the Queen heads up top. Doublestomp misses, but a headbutt doesn’t knocking both ladies down. Aminata gets an Air Raid Crash for two. Doublestomp from the top connects this time but only gets two. Vaughan comes back with a roaring elbow and flapjack for two. She goes for a piledriver but gets rolled up for two. Another headbutt and kick to the face gives Aminata the win. ***

Match Three: Sisters Of Sin vs. Safire Reed & Millie McKenzie (8/23/2025)

Another from EVE 138: EVE x The World. 20-minute time limit. Blue and McKenzie start things off with Millie working over the arms early on. They fight over a German suplex with no one getting it. Millie knocks Blue down so she tags out to Julia Hart and then Reed tags in as well. Safire can’t get a springboard back elbow so Hart forearms her down. Julia walks the rope for Old School and tags Blue in for a running kick. Reed gets a dropkick and tags Millie back in who gets a side suplex for a one count. Double suplex on Blue gets two. Skye avoids a charge and clotheslines Reed down for two. The SOS doubleteam Reed to stay in control. Suplex by Blue gets two. Julia gets a clothesline and applies a rear chinlock. Reed fights out and tags McKenzie who runs wild on the SOS with German suplexes. Blue gets a flash rollup and a superkick for two. High kick to the head but Millie shrugs it off and hits a cutter. Tags are made to Reed and Hart again with Reed getting several slingblades. Double superkick by the SOS gets two. Reed manages a side suplex on Blue and tags Millie. Implant Buster on Hart gets two. McKenzie gets a spear for another close two count. Julia ducks under a clothesline and puts on an Octopus Stretch and Blue follows suit with Reed. DDT on McKenzie but Reed busts out of the hold and breaks up a pin attempt. Reed takes on both members of the SOS but runs into a double superkick. Assisted uranage on Reed but McKenzie breaks up the pin with a low dropkick. All four women duke it out in the center as the time limit runs out and the match is a draw. Kudos to these ladies for going the full 20 minutes. McKenzie in particular looked like a badass in this one. **½

Match Four: EVE International Championship – Kris Statlander (c) vs. Nina Samuels (9/5/2025)

This is from Strong Women Style 2025 also in London. 30-minute time limit for this one. Nina paintbrushes her to get under Statlander’s skin, so she casually takes her down and works the left wrist. Stat hits 3 consecutive bodyslams but misses a rolling senton and Samuels kits a scissor kick sending Kris out to the floor. Statlander recovers quickly and yanks Nina outside with her by the hair. They brawl out there with Samuels getting the upper hand. Abi Cartwright attacks Stat from behind in the aisleway with Nina getting a superkick. Back in Samuels applies a Bow and Arrow hold and gets a snap suplex for two. Dropkick to the back connects for another two. Nina Irish whips Statlander into to the buckles several time, trying to weaken the back further. She looks for Starstruck but Stat is able to wiggle out and hit a powerslam. Statlander hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Standing monsault misses which leads to Nina hitting a cartwheel kneestrike for two. They trade kicks and Stat gets an axe kick for two. Slingshot into the corner and Kris sends her shoulder first into the ringpost. To the top rope where Statlander has to fight off Abi and Samuels gets a powerbomb out of the corner for two. She again can’t hit Starstruck thanks to the injured shoulder this time, so Stat hits a running knee. Springboard back elbow and Michinoku Driver for two. Cartwright jumps in and gets hit with Staturday Night Fever. Nina gets a Helluva Kick and Ninagoroshi, but misses a Moonsault which leads to Statlander getting her in stretch hold and Nina has to tap. Good battle in this one. Samuels looked really over as a heel. ***¼

Match Five: EVE Championship – Nightshade (c) vs. Nyla Rose (8/23/2025)

Another from EVE 138: EVE x The World. Aubrey Edwards is the referee, and she gets her own entrance to boot. 30-minute time limit here. Handshake is offered by Nyla and accepted. Classic lockup with neither getting the advantage. Crowd feels split between cheering for the two. They try for shouldertackles next with not much being decided. Let’s try clotheslines now, and again neither is budging until finally Nyla knocks the champion down. Rose can’t get a chokeslam or a low dropkick resulting in Nightshade getting a big splash for two. Samoan Drop by the champ and a running senton gets another two count. Nightshade sends Rose into the turnbuckle with force. Another try but Nyla bounces out and clotheslines Nightshade down. Side suplex gives a two count for the challenger. The champion gets another clothesline taking both ladies down. Rose knocks her down with a clubbing forearm. Nightshade makes it back up and wins a forearm battle and hits a spear for only one. Another spear from the champion and a chokebomb gets two with Nyla grabbing the ropes to break. Out on the apron where Nyla hits a knee then another from the top rope with Nightshade draped across the rope. DVD gets two. Cannonball misses and the champion gets another spear, then heads up top. Nyla is up quickly and powerbombs her out of the corner. She then lands a top-rope senton bomb for the pin and the title. **¼

Match Six: Lucy Sky vs. Willow Nightingale (11/7/2025)

From EVE 141: Elite Encounters. 20-minute time limit here. Crowd is quite amped for Willow with chanting going on for over two minutes before they even touch. They fight over a lockup and trade forearms. Willow finally knocks her down and celebrates it too long, allowing Sky to attack her in the corner. Nightingale cartwheels away and hits an enzuigiri, then clotheslines Sky down for two. Willow climbs but Sky pulls her down off the buckle and stomps her. Suplex gets two and Sky lays in the chops. After a brief Willow comeback Lucy clotheslines her down again for a two count. Michinoku Driver gives Sky another two count. Willow fires up with a superkick and a spinebuster for two. She goes for the gutwrench powerbomb but can’t get it, and Sky gets a series of German suplexes. Lucy heads up with Willow meeting her there. Sky slides under and gets an avalanche German suplex for a close two. She misses a dive letting Willow drill her with a cannonball and DVD for two. Big lariat puts both women down. On the apron Willow gets another DVD, then looks for another on the floor but gets pushed into the steps. Willow quickly comes back with a cannonball into a set of chairs in the audience. Back in that gets two. Sky somehow manages a spear for two. Running kneestrike and a frog splash connects for a close two. Nightingale gets a Pounce then hits The Babe With The Powerbomb to get the win. ***¼

Final Thoughts: This was a fun set of matches! It was neat to see some of the EVE regulars featured in big matchups against AEW competitors. Hayter vs. Windsor was my favorite of the bunch, but really the entire set was solid and a good use of 2.5 hours.
