Earlier today, GCW owner Brett Lauderdale praised Joey Janela in a reply to a Twitter user stating Janela isn’t a draw.
“Joey Janela is the most successful and influential *indie* wrestler of the last 2 decades (at least). Spring Break changed *everything* and maybe someday the story will be told.”
Lauderdale went on to say, “You don’t have to like him or agree with him on everything and you can say whatever you want about his run as a corporate tv wrestler but when it comes to indie wrestling… nobody changed the game more than joey…and other indie wrestlers will tell you the same thing.”
The first ever Joey Janela’s Spring Break took place in 2017 and every year has been one of the top drawing independent wrestling events of Wrestlemania week. Joey Janela’s Spring Break 10 is set to take place on Friday, April 17th at The Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of GCW’s The Collective.
