Judas Icarus Captures Prestige Wrestling World Championship at Roseland XIII

We have a new Prestige World Champion!

On Friday night, February 20th, Prestige Wrestling returned to the Roseland Theater in Portland, OR, for it’s final event ever, “Roseland XIII.” The event saw so many excellent matches to end the legacy of Prestige Wrestling. In the main event, we saw Kevin Blackwood put his Prestige World Championship on the line against Judas Icarus in Blackwood’s final professional wrestling match.

The two went on to have a 30+ minute war. They threw everything that they had and more at each other. In the end, Icarus would lock in his submission hold and force Blackwood to tap.

Blackwood has been the Prestige World Champion for the past 139 days. He defeated Icarus for the title back in October. He went on to pick up wins over the likes of Matt Brannigan and Icarus again. As for Icarus, he remained constant in looking to get back the title that he lost. Icarus has shown the world time and time again that he’s so much more than just a tag team wrestler, and Friday was yet another example of that.

While it remains to be seen where he goes from here, the storybook has closed on Kevin Blackwood and Prestige Wrestling. The future is still very bright for Judas Icarus, and the independent scene is in great hands as long as people like him are still around.
