Ricky Sosa Pulled From wXw 16 Carat Gold Tournament Due To ‘Last-Minute Major Career Ppportunity’

Ricky Sosa will not be competing in this year’s 16 Carat Gold tournament.

The current wXw European Champion Ricky Sosa has been pulled from wXw’s 16 Carat Gold due to a ‘last-minute major career opportunity’.

wXw did not specify to what the opportunity was, but they did state that Rosa will be competing at 16 Carat Gold 2026 Night 3 on Sunday in Oberhausen, Germany. Although a replacement hasn’t been named yet, wXw did state that a replacement will be announced. Sosa was originally scheduled to face Titus Alexander in the opening round of the tournament.

16 Carat Gold 2026 will stream live on IWTV from March 6-8. Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI, Erick Stevens, Titus Alexander, Arez, Chihiro Hashimoto, Thomas Shire and YAMATO are some of the names competing in the prestigious tournament.
