Deathmatch wrestling veteran Matt Tremont is set to make his New Japan Pro Wrestling debut at the highly anticipated Death Vegas Invitacional, adding another major milestone to an already decorated career.
Tremont holds a unique distinction in the deathmatch wrestling world as the only competitor to win four of the genre’s most prestigious tournaments:
- CZW’s Tournament of Death
- IWA Mid-South’s King of the Deathmatch
- IWA East Coast’s Masters of Pain
- GCW’s Tournament of Survival
His addition makes him the ninth participant confirmed for the event. Tremont joins a lineup that already includes El Phantasmo, Jun Kasai, El Desperado, Jordan Oliver, Alec Price, Masashi Takeda, Rina Yamashita, and Daisuke Sasaki.
Over the past decade, Tremont has established himself as one of the premier deathmatch wrestlers in the United States, capturing championships in promotions such as Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), and Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW).
With Tremont now part of the field, the Death Invitational is quickly shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of WrestleMania Weekend.
The show will take place Thursday, April 16 at 8 p.m. PT at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas.
