New Texas Pro has two new champions.
New Texas Pro Wrestling has two new champions going into the biggest week in professional wrestling, WrestleMania week.
The first champion to be crowned at today’s TX8 2026 event was Danny Orion. Orion was able to defeat the dominant 1 Called Manders for the biggest prize in the promotion, the New Texas Pro Championship. Orion’s shocking victory ended the title reign for 1 Called Manders at 183 days. Orion is the sixth ever New Texas Pro Champion.
The evening continued as Jesse Funaki not only won the TX8 tournament, but came out the event as the new Lonestar Champion. The Lonestar Championship was defended throughout the tournament by the champion Timur The Great, who defeated Decimus in the opening round and Oli Summers in the semi-finals, before losing to Jesse Funaki. Funaki overcame LVJ in the opening round, then Tim Bosby in the semi-finals. Funaki defeated Timur in the main event to end his reign as champion at 148 days.

New Texas Pro’s next event “Sin City Stampede” will take place on April 16th during WrestleMania week in Las Vegas, Nevada.
