Ricky Sosa will not be competing in this year’s 16 Carat Gold tournament.
The current wXw European Champion Ricky Sosa has been pulled from wXw’s 16 Carat Gold due to a ‘last-minute major career opportunity’.
wXw did not specify to what the opportunity was, but they did state that Rosa will be competing at 16 Carat Gold 2026 Night 3 on Sunday in Oberhausen, Germany. Although a replacement hasn’t been named yet, wXw did state that a replacement will be announced. Sosa was originally scheduled to face Titus Alexander in the opening round of the tournament.
16 Carat Gold 2026 will stream live on IWTV from March 6-8. Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI, Erick Stevens, Titus Alexander, Arez, Chihiro Hashimoto, Thomas Shire and YAMATO are some of the names competing in the prestigious tournament.
