Overall:  Ironically enough, one of AAW’s biggest shows of the year wound up being one of their weakest.  There is something missing from the atmosphere in Merrionette compared to Berwyn and the shows just tend to suffer.  In this case, a majority of the card under-delivered.  The tag team title match was tame compared to their usual outings and the Jacobs/Cannon dysfunctional team has been acting in odd ways as of late.  The four-way was solid without being spectacular and Sabu interrupted what could have been a fine singles match between Callihan and Hollister.  Thankfully, Elgin and Richards tend to deliver regardless of what building they’re in and the main event was unquestionably the highlight of this show.  The match quality isn’t atrocious or anything, but I’m left with a thumbs in the middle leaning up (due to the main event) for Windy City Classic 8.
