Night 3 of the Stardom Cinderella Tournament featured an unexpected appearance by NJPW star El Desperado, who used the moment to extend Death Vegas Invitacional invitations to two of Stardom’s most recognizable names: Maki Itoh and Starlight Kid.
Before Itoh’s scheduled match could begin, she was seen walking to the ring alongside El Desperado, signaling a possible alliance. Moments later, Starlight Kid joined the pair at ringside, adding intrigue to the developing situation.
Earlier this year, Itoh spoke publicly about expanding the reach of her faction, the Ito Respect Corps, and her latest move appears aimed at bringing El Desperado into that orbit. The two share a history as partners, having teamed together in the past against Chris Brookes and Emi Sakura. Starlight Kid also has a notable history with El Desperado with two teaming together in a NJPW and Stardom collab show.
So far, ten wrestlers have confirmed their participation in the upcoming event: El Phantasmo, Jun Kasai, El Desperado, Jordan Oliver, Alec Price, Masashi Takeda, Rina Yamashita, Matt Tremont, Daisuke Sasaki, and Dragon Kid.
The show is already shaping up to be a major attraction. It is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 16, at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas, during the highly anticipated WrestleMania Week, a period that traditionally draws wrestling fans from around the world.
