Justin Houston and Kevin Ford are doing a podcast together. So would it surprise you in any way that the two main topics of this show were CHIKARA and Dragon Gate? Cuz that’s what they are. Justin and Kevin talk in-depth (no, we mean REALLY in-depth) about the Cibernetico results, and touch on the Hamden, CT results as well. Then Justin and Kevin go on more in-depth analysis when discussing the upcoming DGUSA shows this weekend as well as fantasy booking the faction draft. There’s also some touch-and-go discussion on WWE, but who cares about that? If you want a long, fun show that’s two dude shooting the breeze about wrestling, you could not have stumbled upon a more perfect show.

  1. I certainly hope Sweeney’s back for good. He works so well in CHIKARA. I have to say that I don’t have a problem with him being involved in the BDK angle, mostly due to his prior issues with Claudio and his apparently legit heat with Pinkie. Really looking forward to Hallowicked/Cannon/Jigsaw/Fire Ant vs. Gerard/STIGMA/Donst/Boyer, elimination style. CHIKARA Match of the Year candidate. Plus, hey, Max Boyer! It’d be really interesting if The Unstable played anti-heroes and beat Swiss Money Holdings. Or, if the BDK goes through to next year, I’d LOVE Ares/Claudio vs. Kingston/Sweeney. With that 4-way just announced today, QuackenSaw may yet have a chance, IF they’re in it. It’s embarassing that the Super Smash Brothers, in a tag oriented fed, haven’t won for that long. They really need to be re-established in some way. As for Quackenbush-he teaches people everything THEY know, but not everything HE knows. But, maybe he just now invented it? Who knows. To sum up, I have to say this is why I enjoy CHIKARA-they leave SO MANY exciting options with their booking. Their swerves usually make sense too-the opposite of Russo.
