Jerome Cusson, Kevin Ford, and Justin Houston are back for an extended edition of the podcast. Why you ask? There is much news to discuss. First up is CHIKARA, and this trio loves CHIKARA. They go over the weekend that was, including Kevin Ford’s live thoughts on “The Germans.” After nearly an hour going over results and going over the possible ramifications, they run down the other major indy that ran a show, that being Evolve. They discuss their issues with the company and the flaws despite seeing a lot of good wrestling on every show. Then it’s on to discussing the Dragon Gate Japan Pay-Per-View that just took place early Tuesday morning. (P.S. Sign the petition to bring this and Infinity broadcasts to the United States.) Then it’s on to the elephant, that being the latest drama surrounding WWE. The show is an AWESOME begin a four day holiday weekend.

  1. I think the best student has been Jigsaw, or the Portal. Icarus is underrated, also. I could also note that Hallowicked has never looked good in matches outside of CHIKARA that I’ve seen. He just doesn’t seem to work well with non-CHIKARA guys. If Black hit Ares with soy milk-that is AWESOME. You’d think Black would’ve won that match, since he was actually in death match once, in kayfabe terms. I was thinking Hallowicked as soon as I heard about the third cloaked guy myself. It would actually make some twisted sense, with the whole Night Breed history between them. What if Hallowicked becomes an evil cult leader like Black has been, and makes Black’s life a living hell like Black used to do to him? QuackenSaw winning seems way too easy to me. A lot of people are sensing a Jigsaw turn, but I don’t know. Let’s say, early in the night, the BDK destroy Jigsaw backstage. Match off, right? Then later that night, the BDK come out gloating, then Mike and STIGMA come out instead and win. I just feel like the Quack/STIGMA thing isn’t over yet.

  2. I liked Hallowicked in ROH matches too, I just think that he looks more intimidating in the Chikara setting. That goes for a lot of their guys. I also thought there’d be a chance that Wicked was the leader, but what do you do with Frightmare? Have him go solo and feud with Wicked down the line?
I agree with what Justin and Kevin said a few weeks back, Jigsaw and the other tecnicos have grounds to be pissed at Quack for withholding a counter to the Inverted Chikara Special, especially as a lot of important matches have been decided by that. Any number of them could turn around and attack QB.
Is it wrong that I don’t want Quack to ever hold a title?

  3. The Frightmare vs Lince match didn’t go Frightmare’s way because of fighting with Lince and Sabato but it was because Wink Vavaseur was watching the match and it forced Sabato to be fair…very very unique and interesting finishing process.

  4. 1. I really hope the 3rd hooded guy is Jigsaw. I don’t know how that will play into the whole CDP/Stigma/BDK deal, but somehow it could be awesome.
    2. Justin was right about Claudio’s “year long plan”. http://www.chikarapro.com/blog84.shtml
    3. I was disappointed Chucky lost to Aries. I thought that they were going to try to use Taylor as their “it” guy. I figured the loss to Quack was going to be motivation for Taylor to go undefeated for the rest of the year, and eventually get “revenge” for the one blip on his Evolve record.
    4. Hey! I watch Impact for The Guns and The Bucks. And Nigel when he comes back eventually.
    5. Kevin Ford needs a hug from someone.

  5. How dare you. And you Samantha!
Also, read Claudio’s blog again. It took a year for the BDK to FORM and have their initial strike. It doesn’t mean it would take one calendar year to take CHIKARA down completely.
