Jerome Cusson and Justin Houston are back to talk about the weekend that was for CHIKARA. Justin has questions. Jerome has answers. They also discuss Kizarny’s actions and why he doesn’t fit into CHIKARA. The duo also talks about a mini feud that took place. And then Justin ends his weekend reign as editor of the website with a proclamation that will change the website significantly moving forward.

  1. I was initially pretty pissed over Sinn’s comment, but it was mostly poor timing than anything. The tie thing plus the “bipolar” nature of Sinn’s character is something that has been with him for a while. As Justin said, Sinn is largely an outsider and was not close to Sweeney at all clearly, so it was largely just VERY poor timing than anything. Keep in mind it’s not like I am a fan at all. If he is done with Chikara, I won’t miss him personally at least.

  2. I did in fact call 1-2-3 Kid thank you very much.

Also, I think you’re exaggerating a little when it comes to Generico’s treatment in ROH. He basically squashed the House of Truth on iPPV and he’s had a couple of title shots in which he had to be cheated out of wins. I don’t think he’s ever going to win their world title but that doesn’t mean he’s being treated poorly.

  3. Mark me down as another legally blind wrestling fan who plunked down the cash for all 3 KOT2011 shows. With the strong Canadian dollar I actually paid less too!

  4. While I don’t think that El Generico is being treated horribly in ROH, he does sometimes gets the short end of the stick being stuck in 4CS and matches that don’t really mean anything.

The TNA rant is dead on. There are talented people in the company, but between some of the insane decisions they make and who’s running the place it’s never going to get better. As good as KOT seemed to be from everyone’s reactions Lockdown was that bad.

And purchased two copies of KOT 2011 weekend, one for me and one for my grandfather who’s a longtime wrestling fan who just found and is starting to love Chikara.

  5. KC, let me know your grandfather’s thoughts. I’m intrigued by his interest in CHIKARA.

  6. I think you guys are really being too sensitive to the fans cheering for FIST. Wrestling is about connections. Some fans connect to faces and some connect to heels. Granted there are tool fans who just try to get themselves over. But just because a group of fans happen to like the heels, doesn’t mean they were trying to ruin the event for others, they just happen to like the heels. With your way of thinking, you’re basically stating that fans shouldn’t boo John Cena, shouldn’t have cheered for Randy Orton earlier last year when he was a heel. I think you’re mistaking some fans being tools for some fans who perhaps, and I wasn’t there so maybe it was obvious they were trying to ruin the feel of the event, but I think it could be possible that they just like FIST and their tactics.

  7. My memory is a little hazy, the whole weekend mashed into a ball of fuzzy awesomeness. There were a couple of moments when i was slightly irked by the small amount of relentless heel love, but it created a couple of fun moments too. For my own part, my whooping and a hollering was gloriously inconsistent, i often found myself trying to do both at once, which left me quite bewildered.
