Larry Legend has hit the ring for the welcome to South Philadelphia and to the world’s famous Asylum Arena for ‘Proving Grounds’.

– – – – – – – – –

Your referree for this first match, Drew Blood, as he officiates Alex Colon vs. Rich Swann. Colon is defintely not a fan favorite here in South Philadelphia. But…is Swann…Swann is coming out to a remix of The Sanford & Son Theme…carrying a box of KFC chicken!?

The match gets underway with a crowd chant of KFC as Swann offer Ref Blood a chicken leg. But when Swann offers one to Colon, Alex kicks the bucket out of the ring. Now there’s a different chant to Colon…”That’s F#$%ed Up!”

Colon goes for a cheep shot from behind on Swann…but Swann is fighting him off, while still holding the chicken in more. But one high risk defense too many and now Colon has the upper hand after a flying kick to the face. No more chicken now for Rich Swann. Colon throws off his elbow pad as he goes to the ropes, but Swann stops him with an impressive drop kick.

But before any celebration takes place…is that Robbie Moreno and Ruckus?

Moreno on the mic. HUGE crowd chants of “Robbie”. Moreno says, “It’s been a year since I’ve been here. This building has always had a special place in my heart. This company has always had a special place in my heart. And you people have always had a special place in my heart. I sat in this crowd as a 14 year old kid as a fan with my best friend Mike Verdi, who made me never give up on my dream..”

Moreno then turns his attention to Colon and Swann saying they put on an amazing match that rivals anything else in the world due to their commitment and training and compares it to when Ruckus and Trent Acid made a new Era for CZW and it is time once again. Moreno then offers Colon and Swann….A SPOT IN BLK OUT!

Swann grabs the mic and asks the crowd what they thinks and overwhelming decides to join BLK OUT. Colon tells everyone that BLK OUT meant something and he’s been in CZW to go up against the likes of Ruckus AND ALSO ACCEPTS THE OFFER TO JOIN BLK OUT! Moreno on the mic and says it’s time, once again, for BLK OUT to take over CZW!

The ring is cleared from the previous match. But this next one might leave a new layer of destruction…but…wait…I’m hearing…is that…a remix of Nick Mondo’s music!?!?!?!?!?! NO! WAIT! It’s LITTLE MONDO!

Mondo is on the mic saying 10 years ago he sat in the crowd watching his hero Nick Mondo. Now he looks like him and moves like him, but that something is missing in CZW. Lil’ Mondo is saying he needs to make a name for himself and what better place to do that…THAN TOURNAMENT OF DEATH ON JUNE 25!?

To respond, CZW Owner DJ Hyde gets to the ring and grabs the mic saying that Lil’ Mondo might look like Mondo, but he’s done nothing in CZW. Hyde tells “RORY” he is just living a dream. Hyde asks the crowd if Lil’ Mondo is ready for Tournament of Death and the crowd VERY clearly makes it known they don’t think so. WAIT! NOW GREG EXCELLENT is in the ring telling DJ to give Lil’ Mondo a shot!

DJ AGREES TO LET LIL’ MONDO INTO T.O.D…IF…IF…he can get through a death match champion…him. Next month, it’s DJ Hyde vs. Lil’ Mondo to see if Lil’ Mondo deserves a spot in Tournament of Death.

Hyde offers his hand to Excellent…Excellent quickly accepts then walks out of the ring.

DJ says last month everyone saw the biggest punk in CZW, Adam Cole TAP OUT to Sami Callihan. But now, it’s the People’s Champion, AR Fox’s time to shine…and tonight, DJ Hyde will be at ringside to make sure Cole’s shennanigans don’t repeat.

WE’RE BACK! Things are starting off from Intermission with…the CZW Ultraviolent Underground Title Match as champiopn Danny Havoc defends against Ryan Slater. As I reported on http://www.CZWrestling.com/, Slater recently confronted Maven Bentley in the parking lot about returning to CZW action and demanding a title shot…Bentley agreed, but it wasn’t a tag match…it would be a singles match for Havoc’s UVU TITLE!

Special guest referee Drew Blood…lol, drinking from a flash for this one…but as the bell rings, Mr. Nui Tofiga enters the ringside area. Havoc has some words for the big man, but while he’s distracted, it’s Slater on the attack. I should point out that weapons surround the ring. AND NOW HAVOC HAS A BAT COVERED IN THUMBTACKS. But now Joe Gacy is in the ring and uses the bat on Havoc!! The ref calls for the bell as Havoc is sent into a corner with weapons. As Ref Drew Blood has words for Gacy, Gacy dumps Red Blood on his head.

Now double team action on Havoc is leaving him motionless in the middle of the ring. Wait! But now tHURTeen is in the ring. Havoc now with a mic saying, “Not that I don’t appreciate it [tHURTeen], but last time I saw you, you threw me off the Cage of Death.” But Havoc made it clear he is willing to look beyond the past, knowing tHURTeen has some issues with Gacy and Slater and will take out The Runaways with tHURTeen’s assistance. Ref Blood makes it official Danny Havoc and tHURTeen vs. The Runaways!

The bell rings…and tHURTteen and Havoc use weapons across the heads of Gacy and Slater…Slater and Havoc are back in the ring, as tHURTeen stays on the attack on Gacy on the outside. – – – – – – – – -Next up, the CZW Heavyweight Title is on the line as champion Devon Moore defends against former champion “The Ego” Robert Anthony.

Anthony first asks for 10 seconds of silence from the crowd so they can “marvel at his sex appeal”. Something tells me the crowd isn’t too keen on that one, but they sure do love “The Prince of Philadelphia” and THE CZW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Devon Moore.

The crowd firmly wants Moore to “F#$% him up”. Both men come out swinging. Moore with an irish whip into the corner. Arm drag…now again, but this time with a drop kick. Anthony flies to the outside…and Moore goes for a dive right on top of him! Moore and Anthony fight on the outside as Moore sends Anthony into the crowd. lol, Moore grabs Anthony’s scarf that he wore to the ring and puts it on as he tries to fly…but too much time was spent and Anthony moves out of the way. Your winner and STILL champion DEVON MOORE!

Now Anthony, BLK JEEZ, and Joker all attack Moore. The CZW Tag champions The Briscoes come running from the back and clear the ring. Jay Briscoe gets on the mic and says he never backs away from a fight and reminds the crowd tonight The Briscoes have an open challenge against anyone…except Philly’s Most Wanted, since The Briscoes have beaten them more times than they can count. The Briscoes then invite anyone from the back…but Anthony grabs the mic and says they have a team to take care of The Briscoes.

– – – – – – – – –

Anthony introduces The Nigerian Nightmares who will challenge The Briscoes for the CZW World Tag Team Titles. The Nigerians are an EASY combined weight of 1000 lbs.

The crowd is chanting “Man Up” as The Nigerian Nightmares, Maifu and Saifu, perform some kind of…ritual…in the ring. To note, the Nightmares also have a scary voo doo princess, Sheeta, at ringside. Saifu starts things off against Mark…and easily outpowers the younger Briscoe. Jay is now in the ring and tries for a running tackle to no avail….and again. Jay comes off the ropes for another running tackle and finds HIMSELF knocked down. Maifu is in the ring now, the bigger of the two Nightmares…easily 600 lbs. Jay does the smart thing – coming in for a shoulder tackle, but instead stomps on Maifu’s foot. But Jay tries for another tackle and finds himself knocked down and now at a mercy of The Nightmares. Saifu is now tagged in…and is Mark. Jay helps Mark to bring down Saifu. Mark on the offense with some big right hands and chops before bringing him back into the corner and tagging in Jay. Jay comes in with a splash on Saifu. Mark tagged back in and keeps on the attack with big rights and left to Saifu.

Mark is caught by Saifu and whipped into the corner, but Mark moves when the big man tries to splash him in the corner. Mark comes off the top with a splash, but is caught. Mark is tripped up by Saifu (who just tagged in Maifu)…and all 600 lbs. of Maifu comes down on the back of Mark with a flat back senton! Maifu now standing on the throat of Mark. Mark now in the corner as both Nightmares ground him. Mark whipped into the corner. BIG SPLASH BY SAIFU! MAIFU does a rolling leg lariat! Saifu now with big right hands of his own against Mark Briscoe. Up against the ropes, Mark is being choked by Saifu.

Mark is once again drapped on the middle rope and Saifu is using all of his weight to choke the life out of Mark. But while Saifu keeps Mark down, he tags back in Maifu. Maifu…WITH A FLIPPING LEG DROP OVER THE TOP ROPE ACROSS THE CHEST OF MARK. While the Nightmares have the ref distracted, Sheeta attacks Mark Briscoe on the outside…I see some kind of powder in the air. Jay is irate, but Ref Lauderdale stops him from interferring. Mark is back in and rolls through an attempt to clothesline him…TAG IN TO JAY!

Jay throws repeated shots to Saifu and hits a huge cross body off the top, cover..1…2…kick out. Jay now with shots against Maifu. Now Mark and Jay with double shoulder blocks to Saifu…to no avail. Now stereo superkicks. Maifu though tries to get involved, all four men in the middle of the ring. The Briscoes each try to headbutt one of the Nigerians…but the Nigerians shake it off…then hit headbutts of their own…down go Mark and Jay. Mark is then tossed to the outside. Jay is laid out. MAIFU TRIES TO GO UP TOP! But Maifu falls off when he is unable to find his balance. Saifu stays on the attack of Jay, sending him to the outside.

Something is wrong. Jay is clutching his neck and head. But BLK JEEZ and Joker are in the ring. Joker is the mic and says to Mark, “You said any time anywhere, right, as long as it wan’t the open challenge? Is the open challenge over?” Mark says any time, any where…Joker then tells Ref Brett Lauderdale to call for the bell! Now it’s time for the CZW Junior Heavyweight Title to be defended as champion Adam Cole puts the title on the line against AR Fox.

Originally, Cole’s personal valet Mia Yim was to be handcuffed to Sami Callihan on the outside, but after some legal maneuvering (discussed on http://www.CZWrestling.com/), Yim is now heading to Japan…to avoid being handcuffed to Callihan…er, I mean, to represent CZW. But Cole has to have something up his sleeve and CZW Owner DJ Hyde is now at ringside to make sure Cole doesn’t pull another fast one like he did in the Best of The Best finals against Sami Callihan.

The crowd is HOT for AR Fox, chanting his name LOUDER THAN HIS THEME MUSIC. These two square off in this main event. Fox is the People’s Champion, given that title at Best of The Best X. Fox and Cole lock up in the ring. Fox backs Cole up against the corner. Tied up again, now the quickness of Fox is taking the advantage, finally sending Cole to the floor. Fox goes for a dive, but Cole moves…but Fox sees it and instead locks a new target on Cole’s new position…and HITS THE HIGHEST FLIP DIVE I’VE EVER SEEN to the outside and crushes Cole on the outside.

Fox goes up top. Cole see him coming and kicks him off the top. Fox goes to the floor with Cole following. Cole now drives Fox’s back into the side of the ring. Now Cole with a slam to the floor. Wait, Cole is now taking commentary Rob Naylor’s microphone and is calling commentary!?!? Fox comes in, but Cole sees it coming and connects with a shot to the midsection. Fox is tossed back in the ring…and Cole does not let up, driving Fox into the corner and stomping away. Cole sends Fox hard into the opposite corner…1…2…kick out.

Cole is trying to do what he can to take the wind out of AR Fox’s sails and ground him. Chin lock from Cole, Fox tries to fight back, Cole goes to whip him into the corner, Fox reverses, Cole reverses…but Fox up top, but Cole comes in with a big right hand. Fox comes off to roll up Cole…1…2…kick out. Cole on the attack, big melee to Fox….1…2…kick out by AR Fox.

These two now chopping away on one another. Cole sent into the corner. Fox comes in. Cole moves. Fox jumps up top and comes off…can opener to Cole. But both men are beaten down by the fierceness of this match so far. After a few moments, both men are up. The stamina of Cole allows him to attack first…including a shot on Cole in the corner that almost sends his head into the third row. Fox catches Cole…1..2…NO! Fox goes up top, but Cole tries to fight him off…Cole is knocked down. But Fox tries to go another route…springboard drop kick sends Cole to the outside. Fox sees a dive to the outside coming and jumps back in the ring and instead hits Fox with a running knee to the face.

Cole now has Fox in the center of the ring locked up saying Fox is done. Fox escapes, but is sent into the corner and back springs out of the corner to hit an Ace Crusher. Fox has Cole in the corner and lays in some shots. Cole now perched up top. Fox goes for a superplex, but Cole blocks. Fox laid out face first on the mat. Jumping side kick to Cole while’s he’s on the top. SEATED SPRINGBOARD SPANISH FLY TO COLE…1…2…NO! Fox goes up top…COLE HITS A LUNG BLOWER…AND ANOTHER! 1…2…NO! Cole with a Boston Crab, but Fox makes his way to the ropes.

Cole tries to pick up Fox, but Fox sends Cole to the floor. Fox tries for another running dive, but Cole sees it and connects with a jumping enzugiri. Fox is laid out on the ring apron…AND COLE HAS A TABLE FROM UNDER THE RING!

That table is set up at ringside as Cole sends Fox back into the ring. Cole now bringing Fox to the ring apron. Cole goes for a German to the table, but Fox tries to fight him off…back elbow. Cole now on the floor…Fox goes for the ropes…but Cole blocks…and gets kicked in the head for his trouble. Cole now on the table. SHOOTING STAR FROM THE APRON TO COLE ON THE TABLE…THE TABLE DOESN’T BREAK! Fox puts Cole back on the table…FROG SPLASH FROM THE TOP THROUGH THE TABLE.

NOTE: AR FOX HAS BROKEN HIS FINGER!

Fox comes off from the rop, but it caught and sent back first to the ring. Cole goes up top, but DJ Hyde is now on the apron. Cole connects, but the ref is busy with Hyde. Cole turns the ref around…AND DJ HYDE LARIATS AR FOX! COLE GOES FOR THE PIN! 1…2…3.

Your Winner and STILL CZW Junior Heavyweight chamion Adam Cole

Hyde and Cole keep attacking Fox. The crowd is chanting for Sami Callihan, but instead Greg Excellent comes out and take downs Hyde, but Cole hits Excellent from behind…SUPERKICK to Excellent. Hyde is on the mic telling people, “Do you not know who I am?” and says he is better than “That piece of shit Jon Zandig” and tells the people of the Arena to shut up because he is focusong the future and the money of the business.

The lights are out in the Arena…AND IT’S SAMI CALLIHAN! Callihan is destroying Cole and Hyde. But Cole saves Hyde! Big chants of “Sami” from the crowd. Sami now has the mic, calling DJ Hyde a “Big, fat smelly piece of shit and tells him to shut the fuck up…and that people only come for Hyde to see a dumb, miserable f#$% and tells the crowd HE IS CZW!”

  1. 10 bucks Necro doesn’t show. Nice to see MASADA and Dys in TOD though. And Philly’s Most Wanted as tag champs is again is fucking bullshit. Gotta see Briscoes versus Nightmares though. Mark getting Saifu up on his shoulders must’ve been one hell of a visual.

  2. Glad to see that MASADA and Ito are going to have a match in the U.S. this weekend. Hopefully they make it entertaining in addition to the toughness which will be displayed.
