Kevin Ford is back from vacation and itching to talk. With his fellow PWP cohorts unavailable, he turns to the man who was apart of the inaugural PWP Radio broadcast, Bryan Hughes, to discuss a myriad of things. Bryan and Kevin chat about the DC area wrestling scene, Manassas ROH shows, WWE, CHIKARA, Dragon Gate, and a variety of topics in a very unconventional episode of PWP..

  1. Hey, enjoying the show. Wanted to update on local guys that worked ROH. Rex Sterling hasn’t been wrestling for like a year and a half. He had personal stuff get in the way & decided to take a break & says he won’t come back unless he can get in shape & dedicate 100%. Wayne mostly wrestles in NC now but works for various NWA feds in VA, WV & NJ. He is NWA Dawg champ, wherever they are based. Sean Denny is NWA-Fusion mainstay, still heavily pushed but pretty much doesn’t work anywhere else which is sad. Kermon is heavily pushed in VCW, like their most pushed guy of the past 2 years, recently dropped their #2 belt to Paul London.

  2. You know, Since you two brought up memories of house shows that you went to, I thought I’d share one of my own stories. I went to a house show once as well.

I think it was a Smackdown taping (before Smackdown became a fixture on Friday nights on SyFy). It was at least 9 years ago, and it had Triple vs. Val Venis and I think it also had one of the usual contests between the Divas (when Ivory was still there, of course.)

While I didn’t exactly get to meet any of the stars backstage, I did remember having fun there. It was great.
