I would much rather listen to this podcast than the Nigel McGuinness podcast from ROH that I have to pay $60 a year to hear!! I am a DIE HARD Ring of Honor supporter and fan, but that is ridiculous. If you gave me access to the ENTIRE DVD library, and all the iPPV’s…I would consider the $60 price tag. Just to watch the show a few days earlier? Isn’t this a show you should be BEGGING me to watch?!?!? Bad business plan all around. And you know, I’m the guy who would pay $90 for the front row seat. I’ve paid $300 for a single NFL ticket before. The money isn’t the issue. The ACCESS is the issue!!
Okay, now that I’ve got that off my chest. I tremendously enjoyed DBD9 as well. The Briscos promo, single spotlight in the darkened barn, sold me the day of the show. They are on a roll with promos, the one with Mark cleaning the gun in the background recently was another home run. The iPPV is getting better and better. I hooked up my laptop to a 65″ HDTV and for about 75% of the show, I forgot I was watching a stream, it was that quality. More than acceptable. My buddy couldn’t believe a PPV that good was only $15. I’m happy Chikara is using GFL for High Noon.
The thing about Kenny King and not bleeding at the show, it’s going to be that much more awesome when he does finally bleed down the road. Everyone wanted it, but if/when it does happen, people are going to go nuts at the sight of Pretty Boy Pitbull blood.
