This week: The WWE heads south of the border, for a week of shows in Mexico City. And they enter into the spirit of things, with a mask versus mask match, a trios match and the always popular parejas de commentators you don't get in Mexico match. Plus, the eagerly awaited return of NXT challenges, HHH is outed as an illegal immigrant and a whole bunch of promos nobody quite seems to comprehend.

RAW SUPERSHOW

– Of course, WWE was in Mexico this week. John Laurinaitis came out and got heckled. Laurinaitis said that tonight, Rey Mysterio was returning. To San Diego, to continue his rehab. Oh, Laurinaitis, you cad. Laurinaitis promised to instill control and integrity to Raw. He asked for consideration and understanding for his mistakes. Crowd didn't seem to care. Or understand. Laurinaitis said he'd recieved nasty tweets since firing JR. So, he listened to what people had to say and brought out JR. Cole freaked out. Laurinaitis brought JR into the ring to apologise. Laurinaitis gave JR a hug too. Laurinaitis said he didn't bring JR out to commentate. He showed a replay of Cole and Ricardo mocking JR during commercials last week. So Laurinaitis made a tag match later tonight, JR and Cena against Cole and Del Rio. Cole and JR had a wacky arguement.

Mark Henry, Christian and Cody Rhodes d. Randy Orton, Sheamus and John Morrison (Henry pinned Morrison) in 7:49. Trios action. Sort of. Christian ran away when Sheamus was tagged in. Cody took a cheap shot at Orton on the apron, which caused Orton to snap, attack Cody and chase him backstage. Which left things two on two. Christian and Henry were able to cut Morrison off. As Morrison was about to get the tag to Sheamus, Christian pulled him off the apron. Sheamus brawled through the crowd with Christian. Leaving Morrison alone with Mark Henry. No prizes for guessing Henry beat him with the World's Strongest Slam.

– There was another Brodus Clay hype video and this one ruled. He talked about how he enjoyed beating people to the point they're still conscious, then picking them up at the count of two so they know the beating isn't over but there was nothing they could do about it.

– Laurinaitis was on the phone in his office. The Bellas walked in and latched onto “Johnny”. The Bellas reminded him how important they are to Raw and gave Laurinaitis a kiss on each cheek. Ricardo and Alberto walked in, interrupting a Laurinaitis phone call. Del Rio was mad about the tag match. Laurinaitis told him the winners of the match would pick the stips for Vengeance.

Eve Torres d. Natalya in 2:12. Natalya dominated the entire match. But Eve was able to hit a final cut and a moonsault to get the win going into Vengeance.

– Before their match, Miz and Truth cut a promo. Miz goaded Punk about the beatdown he and Truth gave him at Hell In A Cell. They said they did something Punk couldn't, got rid of HHH from Raw. Truth said they couldn't stand people who ran their mouths. Truth promised to GET GOT vengeance. Triple H came out to even the odds.

CM Punk d. The Miz in 12:35. HHH stood in Punk's corner. Punk out wrestled Miz early on and took him out with a suicide dive. Punk missed his knee in the corner and crashed outside. But as Truth went to attack, HHH warned him off, protecting Punk. Punk regained control, until Truth tripped his leg. That drew HHH in the ring, allowing Miz and Truth a brief two on one. Miz took over and sent Punk outside for Truth to hit him with a water bottle. HHH went after Truth, but Laurinaitis came out saying there were problems with HHH's immigration papers. Under duress HHH left, not before KOing Truth with a right hand. HHH was escorted out of the building, as Laurinaitis and Otunga looked on. Meanwhile, the match continued and Punk made a comeback. Punk wound up sending Miz into Truth and got the win by rolling Miz up. But Miz and Truth attacked Punk after the match. Miz and Truth 'left peacefully' when referees came out. Only to run back in and give Punk their finishers.

– Vickie, Swagger and Ziggler came out. Vickie was dressed for the occasion. She said she was the Angelina Jolie of Mexico City, without the adopted brats. Ziggler heeled on Mexico, saying everyone wanted to leave. He said like Affliction shirts coming back into style, scarves on men, Titus O'Neil and trying to count his abs before he finished his sentence, they'd never make it. Look, I like Dolph, but winter's coming, scarves are a neccessity. Swagger started singing the US national anthem. He lost his place because the fans were booing, so threatened to start over, until Ryder interrupted.

Zack Ryder d. Jack Swagger in 0:35. Zack caught Swagger with the Ruff Ryder out of the corner and won in super quick time, causing Ziggler to freak out. Swagger and Ziggler went after Zack, until Mason Ryan came out.

Dolph Ziggler d. Mason Ryan by DQ in 2:37. Zack stuck around to be in Mason's corner. Mason dominated Ziggler. On the outside, Vickie slapped him and Mason snapped, beating Dolph in the corner until he was disqualified. Mason took out Swagger and gave Ziggler a spinning powerslam.

– Cena spoke to JR backstage. JR was worried about the match. Cena said he was the greatest voice in WWE history and told him not to worry. JR said he would like to get his hands on Cole and called him a “son of a bitch”. They shook hands on it.

– Back in the arena, Cole promised to put JR out of his misery. He said he might even pin John Cena. He told the crowd his wife was Mexican, so they had to cheer for him.

John Cena and Jim Ross d. Alberto Del Rio and Michael Cole (JR submitted Cole) in 11:34. Cole was in his collegiate gear again. He might have been in better shape than Wrestlemania. Cena got a far bigger reaction coming out than Del Rio. JR and Cole started, which kinda put pay to the crowd reaction. JR slapped Cole and Cole quickly brought Del Rio in. The crowd became more split as the match got going, chanting “Mexico” and “Alberto” for Del Rio. Cena still had his fans but they were gradually drowned out. Del Rio and Cena thankfully stayed in, while Cole got some cheap shots in on Cena. In the end, Cena started to make his comeback and Del Rio tagged Cole in. Cena gave Cole the AA and JR made Cole tap to the ankle lock.

– After the celebrations were over, Del Rio tried to attack Cena. Cena hit an AA on the floor and started counting. Del Rio tried to run away, but Cena laid him out with the steel steps and counted him down. Cena then confirmed the match at Vengeance would be a Last Man Standing match.

NXT

– Striker started the show with Derrick Bateman and Titus O'Neil, who were accompanied by Maxine and Percy Watson respectively. This was one of the weeks where they pretend there's still a competition going on. Bateman and Titus had a Capture The Flag challenge. There were a bunch of flags tied to the ring ropes and they were tied by the waist. Titus mocked Bateman for having zero points. They pretended the points matter. The points have never mattered, even when there was a competition. Bateman got a kiss from Maxine for good luck. Titus was winning easily, so Bateman attacked from behind. Striker made Titus and Percy against Bateman and a partner of his choosing later.

how to get the bf backoration: underline”>Yoshi Tatsu d. Tyler Reks in 4:35. Hawkins was walking with a cane, thanks to a fractured ankle. He claimed it was caused by The Usos, which was half true at best. Reks said he'd dedicate his singles matches to Hawkins while he's out. Tyler's a pretty good promo. A decent match saw Yoshi get the win with a spin kick from the top. Reks and a hobbling Hawkins attacked after, until The Usos ran in for the save.

– Backstage, Kaitlyn was with AJ. AJ had a letter from Hornswoggle, but Kaitlyn said it was clearly Maxine. Kaitlyn promised to beat Maxine for her.

Maxine d. Kaitlyn by submission in 4:49. Better than I expected. Which doesn't mean it was great, by any means. Kaitlyn won with a full nelson applied with her legs.

– Bateman was looking for a partner and tried to recruit Tyson Kidd. Tyson said he didn't want any part of it and warned Bateman about his priorities, saying his girlfriend was nuts. Derrick tried to convince him she was an angel, but Maxine showed up and yelled at him for not being at ringside during her match. She gave him an angry kiss and demanded he shave his moustache. JTG walked up and offered to be Bateman's partner. Bateman remarked how weird his life is.

Titus O'Neil and Percy Watson d. Derrick Bateman and JTG in 9:42. I hope Bateman doesn't suffer the JTG tag partner curse now. Percy had Bateman's number early. As soon as Titus tagged in, Bateman immediately tagged. Titus and Percy cleared the ring, but Bateman and JTG cut Percy off during the break. Titus made a big comeback and ended up pinning Bateman after avoiding a crossbody and delivering the sky high powerbomb.

SUPERSTARS

Jinder Mahal d. Ted Dibiase in 8:49. Jinder got control of the bulk of the match. Dibiase eventually got back into it, but Jinder managed to crotch him up top and followed up with the full nelson slam. Long, but probably the best Jinder's looked.

Santino Marella d. Heath Slater in 5:08. The Mexican crowd seemed to love Santino. Santino rallied back to hit the Cobra for the win.

Air Boom d. Drew McIntyre and Michael McGillicutty (Bourne pinned Drew) in 12:06. The Tag Team Champions used their speed and tag work to deal with Drew and McGillicutty early on. They had a couple of new tag moves too, including the Speed Muscle hanging double stomp one, which probably has a better more official name than that. Kofi and Evan hit a double suicide dive. Drew and McGillicutty were able to cut Evan off while the referee was distracted. Kofi ran wild off the tag. As things broke down, Drew accidently booted McGillicutty and was left to take Trouble In Paradise and Air Bourne. Good match.

SMACKDOWN

– Del Rio came out to start the show. He got a good reaction, being in Mexico. Del Rio said he was supposed to face Big Show, but because of what Cena did on Raw that wasn't going to happen. Del Rio said it was his dream to compete in Mexico and Cena robbed everyone of that opportunity. He promised to win at Vengeance. Teddy Long interrupted as Del Rio was going to leave. Teddy said Del Rio had been cleared by WWE doctors and claimed he was afraid to wrestle Big Show. Teddy polled the audience and they wanted to see the match, so Teddy said it was on. Mark Henry came out before Del Rio could leave and they eyed each other up a bit.

Mark Henry d. John Morrison in 3:38. Henry pretty much dominated. Morrison got some brief hope, but Henry was never in danger of losing and won with the World's Strongest Slam.

– Christian was backstage with Vickie. Vickie suggested they should talk about forming a business relationship and swap embarrassing stories about Edge. Teddy walked in and offered to give Christian one more match. One more with Sheamus, that is. Christian stormed out. Teddy told Vickie that Ziggler would be facing Zack Ryder at Vengeance too. Zack Woo Woo Wooed Vickie and she screamed.

Wade Barrett d. Daniel Bryan in 5:12. Wade had a promo before the match, saying he wouldn't allign himself with parasites anymore and that the Barrett uprising would start tonight. They're continuing the briefcase curse storyline with Bryan. The idea is better than the execution. Bryan absolutely nailed Wade in the face with his missile dropkick here. He got nailed on a couple of other occassions as well. Not a fun night for him. Wade picked up the win with Wasteland after catching Bryan coming off the ropes.

Sheamus and Zack Ryder d. Christian and Dolph Ziggler (Sheamus pinned Ziggler) in 3:58. Dolph and Christian isolated Ryder. Sheamus made the big comeback and Christian ran away, leaving Dolph to get destroyed with a Brogue Kick.

– During the commercials, Christian re-appeared and delivered a spear to Sheamus on the stage as he was celebrating.

– Cody cut a promo in the ring, saying he exorcised a demon with what he did to Orton. Cody laughed about what he did. He said what he did wasn't just due to the attack Orton gave him, Orton left him psychologically damaged ever since Legacy. Cody said man was basically evil and selfish. He claimed Orton abused his loyalty and he had to carry the baggage ever since. Cody said his and Orton's lives had intersected and now he was the champion. He called Orton an embarrassed megalomaniac and called him out to apologise. Orton came out and said he made a mistake by leaving Cody breathing after he cost him the World Title. Orton promised his attack would pale in comparison to what he'd do at Vengeance. The baggers moved in on Orton and were taken out, but Cody got the jump on Orton as a result. Orton cleared the ring of Cody and gave one of the baggers a DDT, then stomped the other bagger's head into the steps as Cody bailed. Orton then gave an RKO to a bagger as Cody looked on.

Mascara Contra Mascara: Sin Cara Azul d. Sin Cara Negro by submission in 10:23. Big reaction for Sin Cara. Well, “Mistico”. They kept it relatively simple and pretty much everything seemed to go off without a hitch, save for one blatant edit. Negro grounded Azul. Crowd chanted for Mistico. Negro tried to pull Azul's mask off during the match. Azul fought back and got the victory with La Mistica. Negro refused to unmask afterwards, but Sin Cara managed to pull the mask off. Booker seemed appalled with what was revealed and called him ugly.

– Beth and Natalya did a promo, saying they weren't jealous. They said they were angry with the fans for wanting to see the barbie dolls. Natalya said pain was beauty and there was nothing more pretty than the barbie dolls begging for mercy. Beth said it was Eve's turn to cry at Vengeance. Eve interrupted. She said Natalya and Beth were ugly on the inside. Eve said she wasn't a barbie doll. Beth and Natalya told her to cry, so Eve shoved her down, which Beth didn't seem happy about.

Big Show d. Alberto Del Rio by DQ in 8:39. Crowd were pro Big Show when he came out, but got more behind Del Rio during the actual match. This was all Big Show. Del Rio tried to go after Show's leg to gain some kind of advantage. Which didn't seem to do much good for a while, but eventually led to Del Rio getting him down to target the arm. But Show put pay to that pretty quick. Del Rio eventually got a version of the armbreaker on but Show wouldn't quit and fought his way out. Show then went for the chokeslam but Ricardo jumped in for the DQ.

– Big Show KOed both Ricardo and Alberto with the punch. Mark Henry then hit the ring, but ran right into the right hand as well and was also knocked out. All three punches looked awesome, thanks in no small part to how they were sold.
