We open the show with a recap video of Superfight 4 from two weeks ago. From there, we go into the intro video and music for the show. The announced team for the show is Joe Dombrowski and Christian Cole.

Alex Kane comes out to the ramp and cuts an emotional promo about Bomaye, losing the MLW World Title, and letting everyone down. He then says he is going to step away from MLW.

Mr Thomas comes out and interrupts Kane. He cuts a fired-up promo on Kane as to how he’s come so far, and one thing he knows Kane is not is a quitter. Thomas calls Kane, the Captain of the BFC, and asks him if he wants to be a quitter. Or if he wants to get that championship back? Kane responds he wants to get that championship back! Mr Thomas says today starts day 1 to begin the road back to the top of MLW and that title. Kane agreed and said Bomaye is Forever!

As Kane and Mr. Thomas walk towards the back, AJ Francis (fka Top Dolla) appears on the screen in a pre-recorded video promo. He acknowledges Kane on his MLW title run and gives him his flowers. He then asks Kane what about his flowers? AJ talks about putting their culture on the map and how they are both Black Panthers, but he’s Huey P. Everything Kane has done, he has done first. He implies he’s coming for Kane, and that’s on Bomaye. Francis will be joining the WTF and appearing at MLW’s Intimidation Games

Kane addressed the promo and told AJ not to talk about trash and garbage and include his name on it. He tells AJ he’s not Huey P. Newton and that his movement was not because of him. Kane told AJ he would run through him, and just like AJ couldn’t clear that top rope, he’s not going to clear this either, in what was one of the best lines in the entire segment.

Now to the ring for the opening contest, a six-man tag match.

Wasted Youth (Marcus Mathers & Austin Luke) & Nolo Kitano vs. TJ Crawford, Tony Deppen, & Griffin McCoy

This was a fast-paced, non-stop, action-packed match that was chaotic at times but still entertaining. One of the high spots of the match came early when Kitano & Wasted Youth performed a suicide dive in sequence through the second rope onto Crawford, McCoy, and Deppen outside the ring.

The match broke down, and the ref lost control as all six men traded moves on each other. In the match’s closing moments, Mathers hits his 360 splash onto McCoy; however, Deppen comes and hits Mathers with a running kick to the back of the head.

Result: TJ Crawford, Tony Deppen, & Griffin McCoy defeat Wasted Youth & Nolo Kitano

We go to a video of RSP, Sami Callahan, & Cannonball of The Calling. Page and Callahan cut a promo on Raven, Akira, and Page’s opponent tonight Jake Crist as Cannonball stands there with a handsaw in his hands.

Women’s Fatal Four-Way Match is advertised as coming up next after the break.

Next, Matt Riddle calls out anyone from New Japan Pro-Wrestling to show up to face him at MLW Intimidation Games later on this month.

Back from the break, Dombrowski and Cole are joined by Salina De La Renta on commentary for the upcoming match.

Women’s Fatal Four-Way Match: Zayda (w/BRG) vs. Tiara James vs. The Notorious Mimi vs. Delmi Exo

Before the match even begins, Delmi and Salina exchange words at ringside once Delmi comes to the ring.

The match starts with all three women beating down on Zayda. Later, Delmi hits a suicide dive onto two other competitors and Gosselin, who comes down with Zayda and stands at ringside.

Delmi has the match in hand but gets distracted by Salina, and they begin mouthing off to each other. The distraction caused Mimi to hit Delmi from behind, sending her outside the ring. Zayda hits her I’m Prettier finisher to pick up the win.

Result: Zayda defeats Notorious Mimi, Tiara James, & Delmi Exo

Salina attacks Delmi after the match outside the ring. The two began fighting as officials came down to break them apart. Delmi goes to the back; however, Salina stays at ringside.

Zayda takes the mic and says she will become the next Women’s Featherweight Champion. Salina has a mic in her hand and said she doesn’t have enough skill and will never get a shot at Janai Kai.

BRG took the mic and told Zayda not to listen to Salina. She’s jealous that she’s not as pretty and talented as you. You are a Queen, and she is a Pheasant.

Salina fires back and asks BRG, “Did you ever see the new Barbie movie?” Referencing how he and Zayda look like Barbie and Ken. Salina then tells BRG, you know Ken doesn’t get laid at the end of that movie, right?

Zayda takes the mic back from BRG and says well, at least he doesn’t go around using his mouth to get whatever he wants! After some more back and forth, Salina tells Zayda to be careful what you wish for; you just might get it bitch!

Backstage, Mads Krule Krugger cuts a promo on how he’s been waiting for two long years to get his hands back on Jacob Fatu. We go to a commercial.

MLW National Openweight Championship Match: Rickey Shane Page (c) vs. Jake Christ

This match was a pretty short match between the two. When the match begins, Crist dove through the ropes onto Page. Then, hit a barrage of offensive moves.

Once back in the ring, RSP hits a power slam and takes control. Crist makes a comeback with a flying crossbody block, followed by a tornado DDT for a near fall.

Cannonball hops on the apron, but Crist hits a superkick. Sami Callihan jumped in the ring and attacked Crist, causing the ref to disqualify RSP. Akira ran in and made the save for Christ. Crist hits a flying chair shot from the top rope onto Cannonball, sending him through a table he was on.

Result: Jake Crist defeats RSP via DQ, RSP retains his championship

We go to Cesar Duran, who was yelling at Court Bauer backstage. Duran said he wanted to be a matchmaker again in MLW and talked about expanding the Lucha Division. Duran said he will be bringing the best luchadors in the world, including Mistico, to the MLW Lucha Show in Chicago in May.

Saint Laurent runs up to Bauer and says he wants an opportunity for the MLW tag team title for his guys, which Bauer agrees to. We then went outside the 2300 Arena, where Satoshi Kojima and Okumura were about to walk in, when they were stopped by Matthew Justice and 1 Called Manders. Manders offer Cozy Max an MLW Tag Team Championship match whenever they want.

Saint Laurent, Davey Boy Smith Jr., and Richard Holliday all walk up, and Laurent said he’s the only legitimate promoter and his guys deserve title shots, too.

Dombrowski makes the announcement revealing the sixth annual Battle Riot will be in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 1.

Tom Lawlor vs. Matthew Justice

Justice attacks Lawlor from behind as he is coming out to the ring. The two battled outside the ring for a while before the match made its way back into the ring.

There were multiple interferences by Saint Laurent during this match. Manders came down to ringside to help Justice and even up the odds. Manders yells at Laurent and then clotheslines him.

Meanwhile, in the ring, Lawlor used the distraction to connect with a roundhouse kick on Justice to pick up the three count.

Result: Tom Lawlor defeats Matthew Justice

After the match, Dombrowski interviews Lawlor, who calls him “Joe Rogan,” and asks for a moment of silence for MSL after he gets hurt. He cuts a promo on Philadelphia and the crowd calling Ben Franklin a fat pig. As this is going on, Justice hits a dive onto Lawlor outside the ring.

Next, Matt Riddle’s open contract is signed for MLW Intimidation Games. He will be taking on Big Bad Tito.

Cesar Duran comes out and reveals he acquired Mistico and Atlantis for MLW Azteca Lucha in May. Duran then cuts a promo on Salina de la Renta, who storms out with MLW Middleweight Champion Rocky Romero and Jesus Rodriguez.

Salina tells Duran to say the demeaning things he was saying to her face. Duran and Salina had a heated back-and-forth exchange of words. Duran says he does see the fear that  Romero doesn’t want to lose his Middleweight Title to Mistico. Salina shakes hands to indicate they’re ready for the challenge that is taking place at Intimidation Games on February 29th.

Duran then pulls Salina in to say something else to her, but Salina shoves him. Rocky and Jesus restrain Salina as the order gets restored.

Lumberjack & Jill Match: Brett Ryan Gosselin vs. Love Doug

Both male and female MLW superstars were outside the ring to try to keep the action in the ring. Zayda caused a distraction to Love, Doug causing BRG to hit Zayda’s I’m Prettier finisher to pick up the three count.

Result: Brett Ryan Gosselin defeats Love Doug

We go to Jake Crist, who is still riled up from his match earlier against RSP. Akira states he wants to take The Calling down the road of Carcosa. Raven says a few words before we see Blue Meanie appear.

Cozy Max (Satoshi Kojima & Okumura) vs. World Titan Federation (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Richard Holliday) (w/Saint Laurent)

The match was a great show of tag team wrestling by both veteran teams. Davey Boy Smith and Kojima clash in a battle of power. Kojima finally shoulder tackles DBS down. Okumura tags in, but DBS shows his power by hitting a stalling vertical suplex. He tags in Holliday, who does a Garvin stomp on Okumura.

Later in the match, Cozy Max hits a double team, Cozy Cutter, with Okumura being the one who delivers it. Kojima also hits one of his own on Holliday. After a missed Lariato by Kojima on Holliday, Holliday charges at the MLW champ and finally gets hit with the Lariato. Kojima gets the pinfall and picks up the win for his team.

Result: Cozy Max (Satoshi Kojima & Okumura) Vs. World Titan Federation (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Richard Holliday) (w/Saint Laurent)

It is now time for the Main Event!

Balkei Brawl Match: Jacob Fatu vs. Mads Krule Krugger

Since Jacob Fatu announced that he is a free agent and will be leaving MLW, it was a foregone conclusion that Krugger would be winning this match; however, what followed after the match and how Jacob Fatu left will be unforgettable, in my opinion.

These two wasted no time going at each other. There were multiple weapons used, including kendo sticks, chairs, and tables. Krugger showcased his size and strength, but Fatu was scrappy and kept on fighting.

There were moments towards the end of the match where it looked like Fatu was closing in on a victory. Fatu hits Krugger with a hip attack. Krugger staggers to his feet and then throws a fireball in Fatu’s face. Krugger then hits his Scorched Earth Full Nelson slam on a blinded Jacob Fatu to pick up the pinfall.

Result: Mads Krugger defeats Jacob Fatu

After the match, the Sentai Death Squad came out with a body bag. Krugger shoves everyone out of the way and does the honors of zipping Fatu up. The Sentai Death Squad carries Fatu off as the CONTRA Unit stands tall to close out the show.
