“3G” Eric Wayne

Vs.

Thee Brandon Espinosa

Recap: Eric Wayne, who is the only 3rd generation wrestler in AAPW, is the son of Ken Wayne (one half of The Nightmares with Danny Davis) and grandson of 60’s and 70’s star Buddy Wayne. Brandon Espinosa is a talented young man, who is fairly new to the wrestling game with only 6 years under his belt.

Review: The match kicks off with Wayne getting a quick take down on Espinosa with a snap mare take over followed by a kick to the back. The 2 men once again go into a collar and elbow tie up which Wayne again turns into a rear waist lock. Espinosa gets the take down this time followed by his own kick to the back of Wayne. The two begin trading wrist locks and kicks back and forth before Wayne is able to break the hold with a round house kick to Espinosa’s back. The match goes back and forth with Espinosa taking over after several hip tosses. Wayne attempts to slow the match back down by ducking outside the ropes and is able to regain control, if only for a few minutes, after coming back in. Espinosa again regains control sending Wayne back outside for a breather. The match goes back and forth for several minutes with Espinosa getting a 2 count with a swinging neck breaker. Wayne again regains control and begins taunting Espinosa. Espinosa is able to come back and gets another 2 count after a leg drop. Wayne gets Espinosa in a death valley driver, but only gets the 2 count after taking his time for the pin. Wayne attempt to go to the top rope, but is blocked by Espinosa who then takes Wayne over with a Hurricanrana and again gets a 2 count. Espinosa attempts the cobra clutch, but is blocked by Wayne, who then nails a belly to back suplex for the 3 count on Espinosa for the win.

“Golden Boy” Greg Anthony

Vs.

Justice

Recap: This is the AAPW debut match for Justice, who comes out to the ring on a Harley Davidson motorcycle, bringing back memories of The Undertaker’s biker gimmick as well as the Disciples of Apocalypse faction with Brian Lee and the Harris Brothers.

Review: The 2 men lock up with Justice forcing Anthony into a corner and being forced the break the hold. Anthony attempts to get into the head of Justice by playing to the ref and the crowd. Justice shows his power by throwing Golden Boy across the ring several times followed up by a clothesline which sends Anthony outside the ring to try to regain his composure. Anthony re-enters the ring and quickly gets Justice in a side headlock. Justice breaks the hold by sending Anthony into the ropes and knocks him off his feet with a shoulder block. After Anthony gets back to his feet, Justice gets him in a head lock of his own and begins to wear down the Golden Boy. The match goes back and forth with Anthony going to the floor several times to try to slow things down. Anthony eventually takes Justice down with several right hands and begins working on Justice to wear him down. Anthony shows his experience by keeping Justice down and working on his back eventually getting Justice into a camel clutch. Justice though is able to stand up out of the hold and falls back into the turn buckles to break the hold. Throwing Anthony into the far corner Justice follows him in with a huge splash. Justice sends Anthony across the ring catching him with a boot to the midsection. Justice attempts a choke slam, but Anthony is able to block it and rakes Justice across the face. Anthony then goes outside the ring and grabs a chair bringing it back inside with him. Heath Hatton then appears grabbing the chair out of Anthony’s hand and causing a distraction. Justice then gets the 1-2-3 after a pump handle slam and a great debut match.

–          AAPW has made some immense growth in the short time they have been on television. The guys are looking more and more comfortable with the TV cameras and seem to be getting more comfortable with the production.

I am looking forward to seeing more growth from AAPW and seeing where the guys are able to take the product in the years to come. Hopefully they have many more years in their future and can keep improving on the product as a whole.
