Chris & Des are back for the final time for the next 2 weeks so of course we had to talk about some of the biggest events coming up. But we don’t start with that, we start with BOLA. Yes that PWG thing that happened this past weekend and literally shook the indie wrestling world. Lots of insight and a LIVE perspective from Brian. The group then talk the news coming out of EVOLVE 17, ROH Survival of the Fittest/Fan Appreciation Night, and some thoughts on the upcoming CHIKARA King of Trios.

  1. I don’t know why anybody thought Steen or Generico were going anywhere in this tournament. They didn’t need it-Steen is the champ, and Generico just won the thing last year. The real upsets were Callihan beating Mack in the first round, Cage losing to Elgin in the second round, and obviously, Cole winning. But, think of all that came out of this-Cole’s #1 contender, Ricochet could say he’s #2 by beating Steen directly without winning the tournament, Elgin has moved up by being the second-place finisher, Callihan has moved up by beating a contender in Mack, Cage has a shot by virtue of his feud with Steen, and Mack still looks like a contender too, getting a pin on Davey Richards. Plus, it looks like Steen and El Generico may finally be getting the band back together. That’s a hell of a lot to accomplish over just two days. By the way, Younger is living in California now, so he’s likely going to be a PWG regular, so if you like his work, you’re in luck, because you’ll be getting a lot more of it in PWG, I believe. In ROH, Cole’s finisher is called The Panama Key. Heel Cole is SO much better and so much more useful than Face Cole.
