Ohio Valley Wrestling, Episode 752 filmed on 1/15/2014, and placed on YouTube on 1/16/2014.
The show opens with The Mobile Homers, Adam Revolver & Ted McNaler hitting the ring, insisting that they get their tag titles back. When they were defeated by Hayes, and Ali Vaez, they claim that the illegal man was pinned, and as such, the titles should be immediately returned to them. Hayes and Ali Vaez come to the ring, and tell the Homers that they can have a rematch right now. So to start this hour off, it’s a Southern Tag Team title match! All match long, The Homers try and steal the title belts. It’s obvious that they don’t want any part of a match, they just want to take the titles and run. Hayes and Ali keep thwarting their efforts, but eventually Adam gets past them, grabs the titles, and Brittany Devore helps them escape in her car. As Hayes, and Ali give chase, both teams are counted out. Ali and Hayes return to the ring, without the titles, so The Homers succeed and stealing the title belts they claim to have never lost.
Next up, The shooter, Jay Bradley, is practicing his striking, when last weeks ref, Chris Sharpe, interrupts him, looking for Jamin Olivencia. Jay isn’t happy, and tells him to, get lost.
Ray Lynn then makes her way to the ring. She will face Jessie Belle, and the OVW women’s champ, Lei’D Tapa, in a triple threat match. Ray Lynn is just twerking and acting a fool. Jessie tries leg kicking Tapa, chopping her down to size,and it works a little, but not for long. Tapa dominates, but after hitting her finish on Ray, Jessie kicks her from behind, out of the ring, and quickly pins Ray. Pretty big win for Jessie there, and possible feud with the champ!
Now it’s “The Body Guy” with TV Champ Mr. Marvelous. Ray Lynn interrupts, to tell Body he’s an idiot, and nothing special, just because he help the WOMEN’S OVW title. Body, insulted, leaves with Marvelous. Lynn is somehow locked in the room, or simply unable to open a door. She murmurs “not again…”
Leon Shelly gets a shot at the OVW TV Title, as he faces Mr. Marvelous, with The Body Guy. Marvelous is a very old school wrestler, and the announce team makes sure we know it. Marvelous is also getting a very positive reaction from the fans. It seems they’ve taken to him, and Body isn’t very enthused by that. After a one sided match, Marvelous wins with a big bear hug. The Body Guy tries to keep Marvelous from acknowledging the crowds very positive reaction. This could get interesting.
Jamin Olivencia is now looking for referee Chris Sharpe all over the building. He’s clearly upset about last week, and wants to find Sharpe now!
Trailer Park Trash hits the ring to address Tony Gunn joining the Marauders. He calls Gunn to the ring to explain himself right now. Gun, with the Marauders, Shiloh Jonze, Raul LaMotta, Clint Poe, & Nick Dumeyer, appear on screen, and Gunn pretty much says he’s never gotten a shot in OVW, and he got sick of it. Flash then storms the room they are broadcasting from, and starts caning them all. The Marauders then turn the tables, using a chair, and they beat down Trash and Flash, stomping a chair on Flashes arm, possibly breaking it. How will TPT fight this battle alone? Or will he?
OVW has a huge announcement. The Nightmare Rumble will be held on OVW TV in two weeks. Much like the Royal Rumble, the winner is the number one contender for the OVW title. This should be an amazing, free, TV event.
Ray Lynn is back with Dylan Bostic, as his search for a new wing-man continues. Dylan calls himself the Justin Beiber of pro wrestling…..yuck. Bostic then announces Jay Best as his possible new wing-man. He will face Eddie Diamond. Diamond wins, in a fairly convincing fashion, forcing Best to tap to the Crossface. Dylan then tells Best to get lost, because he’s a loser. Apparently the wing-man search shall continue.
Jay Bradley time! Bradley is escorted by a corner cut-man known as Mongo. Jay wants the mic. He goes on about stretching fools in the snake pit. His hands have been declared lethal weapons, so he has to wear MMA style gloves now. Jay says he’s a shooter, a hooker, he’s REAL. He will be facing The Party Starter Bud Dwight. This isn’t going to be pretty. Bud stalks Bradley, as he’s punching Mongos hands, and Bradley back kicks him in the nuts, locks in a choke, and Bud taps instantly. Bradley then puts on a sponsor shirt and hat, and thanks his sponsors and gives a speech center ring as if this is UFC.
Jamin Olivencia is here, in referee Chris Sharpe’s’ face, about last week! He’s not happy that he called for the DQ in his match for the title. Sharpe says he was just doing his job, but Jamin isn’t having it. He wants Chris to make it right. Timmy Danger escorts champion Marcus Anthony to ring side, and says he has an announcement. Danger tells referee Sharp to calm down, and tells Jamin he needs to settle down too. Danger says Jamin used up his one rematch, but Jamin demands that Danger tell him what he has to do to get another title shot. After consulting with Anthony, Danger asks if he wants it to be a match against him and Anthony. Jamin says yes. Danger says next week Jamin can get a partner to face them, and Danger suggests referee Chris Sharp as Jamin’s partner. Jamin instantly agrees, and Sharp isn’t happy. It seems Jamin could care less about who he partners with, so long as he gets another shot at Anthony. The show fades out, as Chris Sharpe protests to Jamin about being in a match next week.
Tune in next week to see Hayes and Ali try and get their stolen belts back, from the Mobile Homers. Will Jay Bradley submit another opponent to prove to us all what a legit fighter he is? Will Jessie confront Tappa after her big win? Will the fans keep embracing Mr. Marvelous? If so, how will The Body Guy take that? Will TPT have anyone by his side to take on Tony Gunn and his new posse? Will Flash try and help out in the fight with a broken hand? Would he risk further injury if he does so? Who will Dylan Bostic audition for his wingman role? Better yet, who wants to be a sidekick to The Justin Beiber of Wrestling? Finally, did Jamin further alienate Chris Sharpe by inserting him into a match without any discussion? Will that come back to haunt him? Lots to look forward to next week on OVW!
