A video package for Shane Strickland is shown, Rich Bocchini then runs down the two announced matches for tonight (Yehi/Lawlor and ACH/Fènix)

“Filthy” Tom Lawlor w/Team Filthy vs. Fred Yehi

Fred Yehi wrestles a very similar style to Lawlor, which made this an enjoyable match. They had a lot of time, and while the crowd wasn’t into it the entire time, and there weren’t any good near falls, this was a completely fine singles match. Lawlor keeps getting heat, and with him being #1 in the Top Ten, expect big things to come. Overall, another good effort by a Yehi in an MLW ring, and it took the cheating ways of Tom Lawlor to pick up the win. Solid match to kick off the show.

Winner: Tom Lawlor

Match Rating: **3/4

MJF is interviewed, and they reveal that he is getting fined $5,000 for his actions last week. Aria Blake jumps in, but quickly gets thrown out by security. MJF claims that this is his time, and his show.

The confrontation between Strickland/Renta from last week is shown. Salina De La Renta then places a $20,000 bounty on Shane Strickland, claiming that this is far from over.

Jason Cade and Johnny Yuta are having a photo shoot backstage, with Cade trying to steal the spotlight. MLW better have a good plan for this, because they’re breaking up one of they’re THREE teams…

Leon Scott w/Sami Callihan vs. MVP

MVP is making quick work of Sami’s heavy, but Callihan quickly interferes and causes a DQ. Sami’s other heavy jumps MVP, and it’s a 3 on 1 beatdown. Callihan is about to attack MVP with his bat, but KOTTO BRAZIL makes the save! Except they all beat down Kotto, and then continue to assault MVP. Callihan then hits MVP square in the face with the bat. This one is far from over…

Winner: MVP (via DQ)

Match Rating: NA

Shane Strickland is interviewed, asked about the bounty that Salina De La Renta placed, and her unknown person who is coming after Strickland. Strickland doesn’t care who it is, he’ll take them down. He’s the champion, and this is Swerve’s House. As Strickland walks away, he’s confronted by LOW-KI. Low-Ki hands Strickland a business card, saying he’ll help, however Strickland declines, and walks off.

Rich Swann meets with ACH in the back. Swann asks about teaming up, and the two shake hands. Well, maybe this is their third team to the division. MLW can always pull an EVOLVE, and just make superteams whenever possible.

ACH vs. Rey Fènix w/Salina De La Renta

ACH and Fènix can do no wrong, as both constantly deliver, and we had a great main event here. Fènix picked up a much needed win, after previously being winless on Fusion. This was a great mix of good strikes, and your typical high flying action, as expected from the two. This was one of Fusion’s top matches to date.

Winner: Rey Fènix

Match Rating: ***1/2

Fènix and ACH shake hands post match, as they announce MVP vs. MJF for next week.

Final Thoughts:

After a rather poor show last week, MLW Fusion rebounded well, with a solid opener, the bounty placed on Strickland, MVP/Callihan getting more heated, some moves in the Tag division, and a great main event. Fènix has been in three great matches so far on the program, two with Pentagon, and now this one with ACH. ACH also put on a great match with Aries in the first week, which seems to be a forgotten match. Anyways, this was another easy hour to sit through, and there’s a lot of moving stories going forward.
