This Sunday Beyond Wrestling is presenting their biggest show of the year, the 5th annual Americanrana. The event is taking place at the White Eagle in Worcester, Massachusetts, and is completely SOLD OUT. Americanrana ’18 has a completely stacked card and it’s possible that it will be one of the best wrestling shows on the year.
No Rope Barbed Wire Match: Joey Janela with Penelope Ford vs. David Starr
These two men have been feuding in Beyond for over 2 years. Joey Janela has tried suffocating David Starr with a plastic bag and running him over with a car. While Starr has thrown Janela head first into a brick wall and piledriven his girlfriend, Penelope Ford. There’s a lot of bad blood going into this match. Their first match resulted in a double count out. Starr won an Anything Goes Match and Janela won a Fan’s Bring the Weapons Match. This could be the big blow-off to their feud and the winner could truly be called the Ace of Beyond Wrestling. This match would also be Joey Janela’s last death match. Prediction: Joey Janela wins to become the true Ace of Beyond Wrestling.
Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. Brian Cage
Ever since facing WALTER at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 2 this past April, Pierre Carl Ouellet has been taking the wrestling world by storm. PCO’s success has become the biggest comeback story of 2018. He’s faced the likes of Joey Janela, Chris Dickinson and Homicide. This Sunday, he makes his Beyond Wrestling debut as he faces the returning Brian Cage. This would be Cage’s first match in a Beyond ring since “Spirit of ’76” back on January 27th. Cage has competed in Americanrana twice before, falling short against both Keith Lee in 2016 and Jonathan Gresham last year. Cage looks to pick up his first Americanrana win, while PCO looks to pick up a huge victory in his debut match for Beyond. PCO may not be human but Cage is an ‘FN machine.
Prediction: Brian Cage picks up his first Americanrana victory.
Brody King vs. Josh Briggs
Josh Briggs made his Beyond Wrestling debut at the Americanrana ’17 Matinee Show. Since then Briggs has been on a quest to becoming the top guy in Beyond. Briggs has faced Keith Lee, David Starr, Matt Riddle, Jonathan Gresham and WALTER inside a Beyond ring. He may not always pick up the victory but he continues to impress the Beyond Wrestling audience. This Sunday he’s looking to pick up the victory against the debuting Brody King. While Briggs has been on a tear of the East Coast, King has been on a tear of the West Coast. The California native has been making a name for himself in 2018, wrestling for companies such as MLW, Evolve, Defy, AAW, and PWG. Just like the PCO vs. Cage match, expect this match to be a hard hitting hoss fight.
Prediction: Josh Briggs spoils Brody King’s debut.
Matt Riddle and Tom Lawlor vs. Nick Gage and Matt Tremont
Matt Riddle and Matt Tremont have a history in Beyond. They’ve both squared off 3 times. Riddle has defeated Tremont in an Anything Goes Match and a Death Match. While Tremont has defeated Riddle in a straight wrestling match at Heavy Lies the Crown. In comes Nick Gage. Gage and Tremont may have their history in other promotions but in Beyond they’ve put their differences aside and have become a tag team. At the opening of last month’s show Vitality, Riddle told Gage that he’s not the King of Bros. After Gage defeated AR Fox, Riddle ran into the ring and locked in the Bromission on Gage. Gage ended up tapping.
Tom Lawlor has competed twice in Beyond, but both times he was on the preshows. The preshows were for the two biggest Beyond shows in the year 2017. At Americanrana ’17 he defeated Bobby Fish, and at Heavy Lies the Crown he defeated American Strong with Chuck O’Neil as his partner. While Riddle has been in tag team matches in the past for Beyond, he’s never teamed with Lawlor. Riddle regularly teamed with Chuck O’Neil, but there’s no better replacement than Lawlor. Lawlor is at the top of his game right now and he could be coming into this match with a chip on his shoulder. Never having been on the main show, this will be Lawlor’s chance to prove he belongs. A win here could punch his ticket as a regular and continue his undefeated streak in Beyond.
This might be the first time Lawlor and Riddle are teaming together, but it’s only the second time Gage and Tremont are teaming. Who will have the advantage and come out with the W?
Prediction: Matt Riddle and Tom Lawlor win in what might be Riddle’s last match with Beyond Wrestling.
Powerbomb.TV Independent Wrestling Championship Match: “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams (c) vs. Wheeler YUTA
Tag team partners collide as Tracy Williams puts his Powerbomb.TV Independent Wrestling Championship on the line against the 2018 Tournament for Tomorrow winner Wheeler YUTA. This will be the 8th title defense from Tracy Williams. Will he be able to hold on to the championship or will his fellow “Hot Wheels” partner pick up the biggest victory in his young career?
Prediction: Wheeler YUTA becomes the new Powerbomb.TV Independent Wrestling Champion.

Jonathan Gresham vs. ???
Jonathan Gresham was originally set to face Maxwell Jacob Friedman, but unfortunately that match is cancelled due to an injury from MJF. As of right now we don’t know who Gresham’s opponent is. Maybe it’s against another Dream Team member. Maybe Stokely Hathaway has something up his sleeve. Either way, Hathaway will look to punish the former Dream Team member.
Prediction: I want to say Gresham but him going into the match without knowing who’s his opponent is a big disadvantage.
Team Pazuzu (Chris Dickinson, Jaka, Santana and Ortiz) vs. Team Women’s Wrestling Revolution (Kimber Lee, Skylar, Jordynne Grace and Mia Yim)
This match seems to be the sleeper match of the show. Both Doom Patrol (Dickinson and Jaka) and EYFBO aka. LAX (Santana and Ortiz) are two of the best tag teams in the world today. When Team Pazuzu is a cohesive unit, they have proven to be very dangerous.
As for Team Women’s Wrestling Revolution, all of the women have proven their toughness in a Beyond ring. None of the women in this match are strangers to intergender wrestling. Kimber Lee is a legend in Beyond Wrestling and is a pioneer for other women wrestlers. Skylar continues to improve and impress inside the ring. Jordynne Grace and Mia Yim, much like Kimber Lee, have proven they can hang with men. Not only have they proven their toughness, but I would consider Grace and Yim to be the best independent wrestlers in the world today, man or woman. This should be a good one.
Prediction: Team Pazuzu wins due to their experience as a team.
Beaver Boys vs. Gentleman’s Club vs. Massage Force vs. Team Tremendous
All of these teams earned their spot into this match and on the Americanrana card by defeating their opponents at the Vitality show. Beaver Boys have been dangerous ever since teaming again in Beyond. The Gentleman’s Club have the most experience as a tag team. Massage Force don’t have many victories in Beyond so they have the most to prove in this match. Team Tremendous haven’t been a full time tag team in 2018, but they’re looking for one more big run before Dan Barry’s retirement. This match will sure be wild.
Prediction: Team Tremendous pick up the win and continue their momentum as a tag team.
