A recap of the Tessa/Santana feud is shown, and they run down some things happening on the show this week, featuring an interview with Tessa Blanchard, and our main event is Khloe Hurtz vs. Abeline Maverick.

Faith The Lioness is introduced. She’s been an entertainer her entire life, and is only 19 years old. Music is a big part of her life, and she created her own entrance music. She always knew she wasn’t going to college, so she went to wrestling school!

Sadly for Faith, she has to face THE BEAST! David McLane says on commentary that The Beast is going to have to work her way up the ladder, just like Tessa Blanchard, before she gets a title shot. Faith had a really fun entrance, as she sang her music and danced with two other girls. I have a feeling poor Faith is about to die though…

The Beast vs. Faith The Lioness

Kind of odd how you introduce Faith The Lioness and then have The Beast pretty much murder her. Faith got a little in at the start, but this was a squash match, one that made The Beast look like her name states she is. Not a ton here, the crowd loves The Beast, and if they were Faith fans, they didn’t have a lot to get behind. We’ll see what The Beast gets next after two dominating wins so far.

Winner: The Beast

Match Rating: NR

The Disciplinarian w/Samantha Smart vs. Fire

Solid little match, as Fire needed a rebound win from losing on the first episode. I’m not a big fan of The Disciplinarian’s gimmick, but it’s definitely unique, so props to them for that. Fire was again very over, and she’s so great in the ring. These two got some time to work, and it was a solid back and forth match, but nothing more. Like I said, Fire needed the win more, but it’s still questionable that all of the new talent they’ve introduced on this episode have lost.

Winner: Fire

Match Rating: **3/4

The camera man knocks on The Psycho Sister’s room. Razor comes out and cuts a solid promo, saying her and Fury are heading straight to the top of WOW because a storm is coming. Major props to WOW for having so many different characters.

Fury w/Razor vs. Chantilly Chella

Solid match, but there really wasn’t a lot here. Fury was obviously a lot bigger than Chantilly, and that played into Chantilly getting a good babyface reaction. There were quite a few times when Razor got involved, especially near the end where Chantilly had Fury beat, but Razor put Fury’s foot on the bottom rope. I really liked Fury’s finisher, and her along with Razor makes quite the unique combination.

Winner: Fury

Match Rating: **1/2

They recap how tonight’s main event came to be. These two have a lot of history together, featuring the first ever “Rats Match” in WOW history. All of this happened on previous WOW seasons (which were untelevised).

Interview time with Tessa Blanchard. Tessa says she may have crossed the line, but she’s glad she did everything because in the process, she also costed Jungle Grrrl the Championship and got the attention of Santana, David McLane, and the entire wrestling world. Tessa is now infront of the line, and no one can stop her.

Khloe Hurtz vs. Abeline Maverick

Quite the odd build up for this feud, but I thought the rubber match was solid. They got a good amount of time, and the crowd was pretty involved. Maverick is the better wrestler of the two, and it mostly showed, especially when it came time for the finish. Overall I feel like this match was a weak way to end the feud, but it was a good match, except for Hurtz making the Tornado DDT look awful. I can’t even describe how Maverick landed from the DDT, because they were all over the place. That aside, this served it’s purpose and was a fine main event.

Winner: Khloe Hurtz

Match Rating: **3/4

Final Thoughts:

One of the main things that made the first two shows really good was the build to Tessa/Santana. Sadly, this show didn’t have a ton of that, just the really good promo from Tessa later in the show. That said, it allowed others to get some time to shine. More new talent was introduced this episode, but I wonder why you build up Faith the Lioness and The Disciplinarian only to have them lose. Fire got a much deserved win, and The Beast continues her dominating ways. They showed us all of the random build towards Hurtz/Maverick, which was a fine main event. I strongly appreciate all of the work they put into character development, and making sure everyone is different from each other. The wrestling hasn’t been spectacular, but the show is far from bad.

Final Rating: 6.2/10
