Last week’s show left us with a few questions about what’s to come. Though The Elite turned it around, what’s going on with Adam Page? MJF laid out his demands for his match against Cody, now will he accept? And will Jon Moxley join the Inner Circle?

Hangman Page & Kenny Omega DEF. Private Party

Kenny and Adam have been on the edge as of late, but this match feels like them taking a step towards healing their friendship, they take a little while to work together but eventually they get there. Private Party is already in sync when the match starts and pull off an impressive array of maneuvers and reversals, with the highlight of the match being Mark Quinn’s back to back aerials.

Eventually, Adam and Kenny get their wind back and pick up the victory. But after Kenny runs out to help his friend it’s clear Adam still doesn’t feel like part of the group.

Riho(C) DEF. Kris Statlander  For the AEW Women’s Championship

With Kris being bigger than Riho the champion tries to use her speed to gain the advantage but Kris keeps overpowering her, it’s safe to say if it wasn’t for the interference of the Nightmare Collective, there would have been a new champion.

This match was a bloated mess. Instead of doing two women’s matches they shoved at much as they could storywise into one.

In the coming weeks, let’s hope more women’s matches are added to the show.

Sammy Guevara DEF. Christopher Daniels

Sammy Guevara is one to watch, being cocky is one thing but he’s got the talent to back it up. Unfortunately, his ability to showcase his talents has been cut short the past two weeks with both of his wins coming from interference. Hopefully, his next match will feature a clean victory.

The Dark Order coming out so soon after the Nightmare Collective feels like overkill, could we stick to promoting one group a week? This show is two hours long and you can only fit so much into that timeframe.

Rhodes Bros DEF. Lucha Bros

The Lucha Bros. are one of the best modern tag-teams, the Rhode brothers are good. This is a situation where the difference is obvious, and at some points, it’s hard to watch because of it. As solo competitors Cody and Dustin are great but they aren’t in-sync like their opponents.

MJF calls out Cody

By this point, we’ve had interference, post-match fights, and promos so even with MJF being his usual entertaining self isn’t enough.

The announcement of DDP returning shouldn’t have been shoved in here it should have been built more, perhaps a vignette or video package highlighting his career and accomplishments.

Bonus points for actually tweeting while Diamond Dallas Page was talking.

Jurassic Express DEF. Best Friends & Orange Cassidy

One of the better matches on this week’s show

Jungle Boy and Chuck Taylor are the two stars of the match from start to end, but everyone gets their moment.

A match is good when it feels like everyone involved has their fair share. Both sides got in some impressive moves, and there’s nothing negative to be said.

Jon Moxley responds to Chris Jericho’s offer to join The Inner Circle together

Anyone familiar with Jon’s style knew his answer would be no, but that would have been a short segment. Instead, we get Jon playing along only to attack them and get away with the car keys.

This was the writing staff putting their best foot forward with the impossible task of tricking the audience. They matched up what Jon does with what the Inner Circle is trying to do and gave us some good reasons for him to join.

This isn’t over yet and if wrestling history has anything to say, that car is getting destroyed.
