With Beyond Wrestling’s Uncharted Territory wrapping up season 2 on December 26th, this left a void in independent wrestling fan’s schedules on Thursday nights. On January 2nd, IWTV premiered the event TID The Season which took place in Buffalo this past December. But this week they did something new. In order to give fans their Thursday Night Fix, IWTV employee J-Rose and the IWTV team compiled a mixtape of various matches from various promotions that are a part of the IWTV family. There were 7 different matches as part of the mixtape which spotlighted the best talent in independent wrestling. The IWTV Mixtape 1 should be available on VOD soon. Let’s take a look at the matches that were spotlighted.

Matthew Justice vs. Dan Maff: GCW Presents Crushed Up 6/20/19

The IWTV mixtape started off hot with Matthew Justice vs. Dan Maff from GCW’s Crushed Up. The match took place at the Voltage Lounge in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The action starts quick and includes chairs, doors and Justice’s specialty, a balcony dive. This insane match also includes the great duo of Allie Kat and Emil Jay on commentary. With IWTV recently uploading a number of GCW shows, check out the full show ASAP.

The Besties In The World vs. The Work Horsemen: St. Louis Anarchy Circus Maximus XIX 7/19/19

Two of the best tag teams in independent wrestling today squared off in July at the Spaulding Club in Alton, IL. The story of the match is the Work Horsemen working the knee of the Besties’ Matt Fitchett. Watch this match and see if Fitchett and Davey Vega can survive the onslaught of Anthony Henry and JD Drake. Be sure to watch tonight’s St. Louis Anarchy show as The Besties In The World take on Larry D and Big Beef.

Lucky Kid vs. Speedball Mike Bailey: BODYSLAM! Wrestling’s Scandinavian Slammasters 10/19/19

The promotion out of Denmark put on a dream match between Lucky Kid and Speedball Mike Bailey this past October. This crazy match between these two young stars took place on October 19, 2019. I don’t want to give too much away so be sure to watch this match. What a hidden gem from IWTV.

Athena vs. Veda Scott: AIW’s Girls Night Out 14 10/5/14

In the oldest match on the mixtape, Athena defends her AIW’s Women’s Championship against Veda Scott. The woman now known as Ember Moon had a tough challenge in Scott. She if Veda Scott walks out of Cleveland, Ohio, as the new AIW’s Women’s Champion or if Athena is able to overcome the challenger.

WARHORSE vs. Chris Crunk: New South Pro Wrestling’s Winter Warz 2019 12/14/19

In WARHORSE’s 17th IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship title defense, he took on Chris Crunk. The match took place at New South Pro Wrestling in Hartselle, Alabama. As part of the holiday spirit, Santahorse makes an appearance to defend the championship. Most people know the result of this match but this is a fun one to watch.

Chris Bey vs. Hammerstone: Without A Cause Year One 10/27/19

In the third championship match on the mixtape, Chris Bey is defending the WAC Championship against Hammerstone. Bey is working the match as a heel, as Hammerstone is the fan favorite in this one. Watch to see if Bey’s speed can overcome Hammerstone’s power. Who walks out champion?

AJ Gray vs. Calvin Tankman: Paradigm Pro Wrestling’s Summer On Lock 7/26/19

The final match of the mixtape is also a title match, as AJ Gray defends the PPW Championship against Calvin Tankman. This match is the pure definition of a hoss fight. Very rarely can you say that is AJ Gray is the smallest guy in the match but in this match he is completely oversized. Watch this match to see who walks out of Indiana as Paradigm Pro Wrestling Champion.

Overall:

J-Rose and the rest of Independent Wrestling TV did a great job with this version of Thursday Night Fix. There was a great combination of promotions that people are familiar with and promotions that might’ve discovered for the first time through this mixtape. I’m hoping that IWTV continues to do this in the future on a weekly basis. If you aren’t a member of IWTV, new subscribers can use the code PWP20 to receive 20 days FREE.
