Dr.Luther DEF. Sonny Kiss
Highlights:
• Sonny Kiss is the best part. Through the whole thing he’s putting on a show performing various gymnastic moves and just running circles around Dr.Luther.
Low Points:
• During the match, it feels like Sonny is doing all the work while Luther is being carried. Sonny is energetic while Luther feels sluggish. The decision to give Luther the win makes no sense.
• If this is building up to a feud between Dr.Luther and Jimmy Havoc it makes no sense. So Luther comes out during his match and Jimmy does the same so now they’re feuding?
The Dark Order DEF. Peter Avalon and Michael Nakazawa
Highlights:
• Leva Bates announcing “Don’t be a dick” as her choice of book for Peter after he mocked the audience was funny.
• Peter slipping on the oil after scolding Michael about it, he works great as a straight man to Leva and Michael.
• The Dark Order look solid as a tag team. Using the tag in tag-out system to get in as many doubles moves in as possible.
Low Points:
• From the start, you knew who would be the ones winning.
• Evil Uno arguing with the ref while Michael sneaks on more oil. Shouldn’t Stu have been doing something while the ref was distracted?
Britt Baker DEF. Miranda Alize
Highlights:
• This match helped to develop Britt as she toyed with Miranda even stopping during the match to talk with her.
Low Points:
• Another match where the outcome was obvious so why did they take so long?
• Miranda starts tapping out before Britt fully secures the lockjaw.
Private Party Def. Brandon Cutler and Shawn Spears
Highlights:
• Brandon Cutler taking on both members of Private Party and the three-way dropkick at the end was an impressive sequence.
• Cutler’s leg drop is impressive with the amount of distance he covers.
• Marq Quen’s combo on Brandon and Shawn. You rarely see a wrestler pull off two moves at the same time so it’s always impressive.
• The storytelling with Shawn Spears and his search for a tag team partner is done very well. It feels like Shawn is always questioning his partner and if they’re right for him. Should make for a good story down the road.
Low Points:
• Between the beads and the handshake, this match took way too long to get started.
