Last week kicked off the return of Beyond Wrestling to Thursday nights. Episode one of Beyond Wrestling’s Signature Series had the return of a weekly series similar to what Beyond had with Uncharted Territory. Signature Series featured a match from their Tournament For Tomorrow tag team tournament, a Greatest Rivals Round Robin match, as well as a bonus Signature Series match.

The first show saw 40 Acres advance to the second round of the Tournament For Tomorrow by picking up a victory over The REP. As for the Greatest Rivals Round Robin tournament, Chris Dickinson was able to outlast Tony Deppen, being the first competitor to pick up a W in the tournament. Signature Series continues this week with 3 fresh matchups. Beyond Wrestling’s Signature Series can be seen on Thursday nights at 8pm EST on IWTV. If you aren’t already subscribed to IWTV, you can sign up using promo code PWP for a FREE trial.

The featured Signature Series match this week will be Aaron Rourke taking on one half of Team Sea Stars, Delmi Exo. Aaron Rourke will be making his return to a Beyond Wrestling ring for the first time since the Uncharted Territory Season 2 finale back in December of 2019. It was in that season where Rourke shined, going on a winning streak in the Discovery Gauntlet. This is where he defeated the likes of Gary Jay, Masha Slamovich, Nick Stapp and current AEW star Anthony Bowens. He was scheduled to make his return this past September at Shangri-La Magistral but was unable to make the event. His opponent, Delmi Exo is no stranger to a Beyond Wrestling ring either. Exo and her tag team partner Ashley Vox have defeated some tough tag team competition, including Bear Country. This time Exo is looking to make a name for herself in Beyond Wrestling as a singles competitor. Will Exo be able to pick up the victory or will Aaron Rourke continue to shine in Beyond?

The second match in the opening round of Tournament For Tomorrow sees the team known as Nouveau Aesthetic sharing the ring against Bobby Orlando and Bryce Donovan of the Shook Crew. Nouveau Aesthetic consisting of Still Life With Apricots and Pears along with BLANK, have competed in Beyond during before against the tag teams The Bird And The Bee and The Gentleman’s Club. They came out on the losing end both times but they are back with intentions of adding some wins to their Beyond record. Bobby Orlando and Bryce Donovan are looking to do the same while also trying to escape the shadow of former Shook Crew member Max Caster. The two students coming out of the Create-A-Pro Academy, might be going into this match with a chip on their shoulders. In 2020, Max Caster got to shine inside a Beyond ring while they stood on the sidelines. Now with the signing of Caster to AEW, Orlando and Donovan are looking to show the Beyond audience that they’re just as worthy for a spot on the Beyond roster.

This week’s Greatest Rivals Round Robin match sees Matt Makowski squaring off against Wheeler YUTA. Makowski has been making a name for himself in the world of independent wrestling. He’s been gaining momentum in every promotion he competes in and has proven he’s a force to be reckoned with. He’s looking to move that momentum into this tournament but first he has to get through a staple of Beyond Wrestling, Wheeler YUTA. YUTA has competed against, and defeated the very best in professional wrestling inside a Beyond Wrestling ring. This list includes Jonathan Gresham, JAKA, Fred Yehi and Lee Moriarty. You have to expect that he’s looking to add Matt Makowski to that list. Which competitor will join Chris Dickinson at 1-0 in the tournament?
