The biggest week in wrestling is upon us, WrestleMania week. Game Changer Wrestling will be joining the festivities in Tampa as part of their third annual Collective. Beginning on Thursday April 8th, GCW will host 12 shows in a span of 3 days, all taking place at The Cuban Club in Ybor City.

I have complied a list of ten matches I’m most excited for during these 12 shows. James from the website also compiled a list which you can view HERE. Check them both out let us know what you think on Twitter @PWPonderings.

*I left out any matches from Jimmy Lloyd’s D-Generation F because to be honest, I’m looking forward to that entire show. I posted a preview for it on the website which you can read HERE.

Arez vs. Aramis – The Acid Cup 3

These two men have been sharing a ring together for 6 years in Mexico. They both know eachother very well. Now they’re bringing their rivalry to the United States in the first round of The Acid Cup. This match could very well steal the show if not the entire week.

Allysin Kay vs. Masha Slamovich – Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 6

Allysin Kay is no stranger to a Bloodsport ring. She made her debut at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 2 with a win over Nicole Savoy and even made it to the finals of the Bloodsport Women’s Tournament last year. This year she’ll be taking on the Russian Dynamite Masha Slamovich. Masha has been making a huge name for herself on the US indies since returning from Japan earlier this year, making waves in promotions such as Limitless and Beyond. Both women are total badasses. This should be great.

Lio Rush vs. Lee Moriarty – For The Culture

It is Taigastyle vs MOTH style. Last year’s Collective shows was Lee Moriarty’s coming out party. He was tested against some of the best in wrestling including ACH and Jonathan Gresham. Arguably the MVP of the entire weekend. This year is no different, but his biggest test would be the former WWE Superstar Lio Rush. Around this time last year Lio Rush was receiving the news that he was being released from WWE during a worldwide pandemic. Rush was ready to hang up his boots. This was until he took on Joey Janela at GCW’s Homecoming weekend. Since then the 26 year old piece of gold has once again proven that he is one of the best talents out there. He’s going to have to use his speed to make sure he doesn’t get tangled up in Lee’s submission. No matter who wins this contest, expect this one to be a match of the year candidate.

Allie Kat vs. Billie Starkz – Allie Kat’s Real Hot Girl Shit

This matchup is a huge deal. The young Billie Starkz was picked by Allie Kat to be her opponent on a show named after herself. Allie could’ve chose anyone to be her opponent on this show and she chose Billie. This shows how much Allie Kat trusts in Billie to perform, and this she will do. Real badass shit is about to go down on a show that’s named Real Hot Girl Shit.

MASADA vs Atticus Cogar – rSpring Break

44OH! member Atticus Cogar has been calling out MASADA for years now. This amplified this past December at a No Peace Underground show with Cogar attacking Masada during a match. Since then things have been getting heated between the two with most of their interactions taking place at No Peace Underground shows. All the calling out comes to an end at rSpring Break where Cogar has to answer to “The Ultraviolent Beast.” It’s skewers vs. skewers in a match that’s expected to be a blood bath.

Starboy Charlie vs. Billie Starkz – rSpring Break

Alexa show me the future of professional wrestling in one match.

These are two of the youngest wrestlers on the US independent scene. Both Starboy Charlie and Billie Starkz have been wanting this match for months. Since the last Collective if I’m not mistaken. Well they got their wish and now it’s their time to show the audience what they can both do. The future of professional wrestling is in good hands.

Gringo Loco, Black Taurus and Arez vs. Laredo Kid, Dragon Bane and Aramis – rSpring Break

If you don’t look at this match and have flashbacks of the lucha 6 man tag from 2 Cups Stuffed, I’m not sure what to tell you. This match could very well blow that one away. This will be a spot fest in the best way possible. It’s going to be completely bonkers.

No Disqualification Match: Dr. Cube vs JTG – VxS: Lucid Dreams

Following JTG’s win over Mance Warner in the main event of VxS The Violence Of The Lambs, there was a surprise to end the show. The lights went out and went they came back on there was Dr. Cube and his goons. Dr. Cube made a statement and challenged JTG to a match at Tampa. JTG in VxS has been a spectacular surprise. He also hasn’t been a stranger to hardcore matches in this promotion. This will be a war.

Tony Deppen vs. Jack Evans – VxS: Lucid Dreams

VxS always comes up with some crazy announcements. From 2 Cold Scorpio to Erick Redbeard, but this was a totally unexpected name, current AEW superstar Jack Evans. One of the best flyers ever in wrestling as well as a huge star in Ring of Honor and independent wrestling in the early 2000s is squaring off with current ROH star Tony Deppen. Deppen is at the top of his game right now and is one of the best independent wrestlers in the world today. A total dream match coming to life.

Edith Surreal vs. Devon Monroe- EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch

The former Still Life With Apricots and Pears, Edith Surreal has been doing great things recently in the world of independent wrestling. She will be sharing the ring with one of last year’s MVPs of The Collective, Devon Monroe. These two athletes will have a completely fun contest, and if this show is anything like the first Big Gay Brunch, the entire show will be really fun.
