The feud between the Von Erichs and Team Filthy continued on tonight’s Fusion. Dominic Garrini went one-on-one with Ross Von Erich, while Tom Lawlor squared off with Marshall Von Erich. Additionally, Bu Ku Dao looked to further the momentum he gained from his win last week by taking on Hijo de LA Park. Check out the latest edition of Fusion below:

Strong Points of the Show

  • The promo for Myron Reed and Lio Rush’s rematch was really well done. It did a great job of recapping Rush and Reed’s feud. Additionally, the promo’s style matched both Myron and Lio’s characters perfectly.
  • Hijo de LA Park played the role of the cocky heel well tonight while taking on Bu Ku Dao. His taunting of Bu Ku Dao’s size was a nice added touch to their contest.
  • Salina de la Renta’s apparent abduction was a great way to progress her storyline. The mask over Salina’s head added to the severity of her situation. I am curious and excited to see what consequences are in store for Salina going forward.
  • I appreciated how Tom Lawlor wore a Von Erich T-Shirt to the ring. It was a nice throwback to the beginning of his feud with the Von Erichs.
  • Marshall Von Erich and Tom Lawlor told a great story throughout the main event. The match ended up becoming about Lawlor’s assault on Marshall’s knee while Marshall attempted to lock in the claw. Both men did a great job and put on a great match.

Weak Points of the Show

  • The confrontation between Kevin Ku, Dominic Garrini and the Von Erichs following Ross and Dominic’s match came across a little weak. The intensity of the feud between the Von Erichs and Team Filthy would have been showcased better had the four men come to blows. A shoving match was less impactful to watch.
  • Bu Ku Dao’s promo fell flat for me. He was very passionate which was great. However, he did not say anything effective or noteworthy aside from acknowledging TJP.
  • I found it weird that Ross Von Erich did not try and intercept the shenanigans of Team Filthy during the main event. I feel like his purpose for being out at ringside was to make sure Team Filthy couldn’t pull anything. Yet he didn’t get on the apron when Ku and Garrini did, nor did he stop Lawlor from hitting Marshall with a wrench.
  • ACH coming out after the main event was kind of predictable. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But overall I think it may be time to change the direction of the feud between ACH, the Von Erichs and Team Filthy. I feel like we’ve seen the same type of brawls happen for months with no real storyline progression. Hopefully a conclusion to this feud comes soon so everyone involved can move on to their next programs.
