Ring of Honor announced on Wednesday that they will be taking the first quarter of 2022 to “work internally to reimagine ROH.” How would you like to see them reimagined? Tell us in our forum!

Throughout the pandemic, our top priority was to keep everyone healthy and safe, and despite not producing any live events over 18 months, we were able to keep everyone fully contracted.

We now find ourselves at a time where we need to make changes to our new business operations and are planning a pivot for Ring of Honor, with a new mission and strategy.

The year will culminate with a Final Battle in December, and we will be taking the first quarter of 2022 to work internally to reimagine ROH. ROH has the most dedicated fans in the industry, and we appreciate their loyalty and patience as we reconceptualize ROH.

We anticipate returning to live events in April for the Super Card of Honor with a new fan-focused product and provide a unique experience for wrestling fans.

PWInsider and The Observer are reporting that according to multiple talents who were on today’s Ring of Honor Zoom call were informed that if their contracts were expiring at the end of the year, they would not be renewed. Talents who have deals beyond 1/1/22 will remain for a certain amount of time.

The Final Battle PPV is still on along with several weeks of television will be taped.

The promotion does have a venue currently locked in for Wrestlemania weekend 2022 in Dallas, Texas. PWInsider is reporting, “Ring of Honor’s weekly TV series will continue on during this announced “hiatus”, using a mix of archival footage and more.”

It is also reported by the Observer that rumors of Sinclair Broadcasting canceling ROH’s television show are not true.
